What do you all think of the Sunderland Echo article, the link is below: http://www.sunderlandecho.com/sport...ve_bruce_sack_rumour_1_3855839?commentspage=2 I know its a well constructed article, but there are no direct quotes (then again no direct quotes about MON). The Sunderland Echo always seems to be pro Bruce, maybe its in their contract?? Anyway, my issue is with Quinn stating someithing *apocalyptic* what do he mean by that? Relegation, I hope not. Being honest, what do you guys think with all the rumours flying around. Do you believe the BOB articles, or this one? Discuss...
Not sure how many times the club can say the same thing, Bruce will be sacked when Short decides to sack him, nothing to do with BiBs or Bobs, all about power and who weilds the axe, his name is Short.
I would hope that this article puts an end to the debate, and us as fans can unite behind the cause...
As you say...no offical quotes, no-one named as the person attributed with these statements. If there is nothing in it, its about time Short said something official. Maybe the reason he isn't, beacuse he wants to see what the next couple of weeks bring.
This is getting tedius now. What more can the club say about Bruce and his position. He is not going anywhere. Neither are the team for that matter but its time for them to man up and get their act together. We need a true leader on the pitch and we need one fast. I can only see 1 point from the next 6 if we play like we have been playing.
How many times have us fans taken the clubs word as gospel, only to find out a short time later that they were feeding us absolute ****e? Ellis Short, Niall Quinn and the board have made numerous statements over the last three years, continually denying press speculation on various topics. They have also developed a habit of keeping things under wraps and then shock us all when they eventually go public. Here's some examples..... 1. "Darren Bent is not going anywhere" We all know what happened next.... 2. "Asamoah Gyan is not going anywhere" Again, we all know what happened next..... 3. The sacking of two board members, Steve Walton & Lesley Callaghan earlier this year, came out of the blue. 4. " We will break our transfer record when we sign a replacement for Darren Bent in the summer" Where is this record signing? 5. Ellis Short is to become Chairman with immediate effect. Who seen that one coming? What I'm trying to say is that we can trust the club about as much as the press when it comes to rumour and conjecture. Who really knows what will happen next?....... .....not Steve Bruce, not the press, not the club officials and certainly not us!
Well said. Must point out though that its not devious. Keeping reality under wraps until the appropriate time is done for the benefit of the club
Dorset - good post. I've got to that point myself now. I believe something after it happens these days.
