If we get to the cup final and lose do we get to Europe and if so in what competition.

If we win is it the same one.

If Newcastle finish 6th do they go.

Could we meet in Europe.


Never been bothered before because we never got near.

 

May depend on Chelsea, whether they win the champions league and/or finish in the champions league places in the league !.

if we get to the cup final and lose to spurs or chelsea we'll be in europe and the mags would miss out. If we get to the final and lose to bolton then we and the mags would both miss out. the mags need to finish 5th to get into europe or hope liverpool play either spurs or chelsea in the final

the rule is the winner of both cups (fa and league) gets into europa league as do the top 4 into the champions league

However if the winners of a cup are in the top already they can win again so it goes to the loser of the cup final

But they might also be in europe so it then doesnt go to the semi finalists it goes to the league place

So IF we made it to the final with Chelsea or Totty (in champions league already) we are in the europa league

if we dont make it to the final and Liverpool (won the league cup so are in the europa already) are the europa place goes to the league place whoch is newcastle

 

they wont beat barca

 

I quite fancied a Tyne/Wear European derby game

 

They might not have to...

 

And Barca have dropped plenty of points in the league this season, they could have a bad game somewhere.

If we beat liverpool we are in europe next season, if we lose then newcastle get europe next season.

That would be such a huge game for us.

 

Right...so we beat Everton we play Liverpool.

It would look like this

Chelsea (Champ league/Europa) vs Spurs (Champ league/Europa)
Liverpool (Europa) vs Sunderland (nothing)

WE have to beat Liverpool. We beat Liverpool then we will deffo be in Europe.
If Liverpool finish 5th they will go into Europa and so will Cardiff. So that would be 7th not getting Europa.
If we win or finish runners up in the FA cup we get Europa, so that means 6th wouldn't get it.

So for Newcastle not to get in Europe, we need Liverpool to finish 5th, and us to finish runner up or win the FA Cup.
