Heard Cameron Jerome's interview on talkSHITE this morning and he seems to think there won't be any kind of parade or reception.
I'm okay with that. I think that parades/events work better for automatic promotion when there isn't a day out to Wembley which is an even in itself.
Confirmed by the club. McNally just said on radio Norfolk that their season has been extended by roughly a month due to the playoff format. Some will be on international duty later this week and they all deserve to put their feet up for a couple of days/weeks. So the logistics of a parade can't be sorted with that timescale.
The parade was yesterday really and we enjoyed every minute of it. We can live without the bus trip I reckon.
That's fair. I don't have an open top bus parade every time I make it home after a bad night, and neither should our football club
Open top bus parades are frankly outdated. Let the guys get away and come back refreshed ready for the real challenge
Sorry chaps - my metaphor wasn't clear - danary is right, I meant the bad night was our temporary blip in the Championship (though overall I have to say it's been a fantastic season purely as a result of 90 mins yesterday...)
I think it's the only chance a lot of people - not necessarily football fans, to celebrate the enormity of what's been achieved. Some can't afford / get tickets as easily as others and it gives them a chance to thank the boys, as well as those who go week in week out
While I agree with you Cromer to a point, these open top bus parades are getting a bit monotonous we seem to be celebrating some sort of success every other year. I mean, poor Ipswich haven't had anything to celebrate for ages they must get fed up seeing yellow and green on the local news
