Wigan have showed the rest how to play away from home. Wasted opportunities at WBA and Sunderland. A team fighting for survival and taking it in their own hands. I fear this result may sink us.
There is no getting away from it. Our tactics away from home in the last few games have been exposed for what they are. It is however still all to play for. But FFS let's go for it. Now we get to see just how good a motivator or man-manager Hughes really is. It really is time to scrap for our lives and give someone a hiding away from home. We finally went for it against Blackburn when we were three down. We could and should have gone for it gainast Sunderland and West Brom. Chelsea and Man City are at the other end of the table because they are better teams with better defenders. I suspect however that even if we do score first against Chelsea, we will just play to hold on for what we've got and we know that our defenders, with one notable exception, cannot do that. Interesting that although City got six against Norwich, the Canaries might have scored another 3 or 4 with a bit of luck If anyone criticises me for having a pop at Hughes, too right. I'll be delighted if he proves me wrong. Those of you who kept saying 'It's not over till it's over" there is one very simple truth. It is if we don't go for it. No one ever won a battle without a fight. Wigan have shown it can be done. Now it's our turn. Bring those Goliaths on. Even if we fail at least we'll be proud of the performances and not leave wondering what might have been if we had been a bit braver.
7 points at least from Spurs,Chelsea, man city and Stoke... Just think its too little too late. I hate to say it but we really have looked like one of the 3 worst teams in the league for a lot of the season..Im not angry ,just feeling a bit numb now..
Feck me, 7 points from 12? I am just wondering, by how much the price of my ST will go down, for next season? For now...9 from 12 and its a fighting chance at best. COYRsssssssss
