I decide to log off early last night and have a computer free evening and I logged on this morning and thought I was on the Newcastle board, giving me some slight concerns.

I had to think long and hard before writing his, am I over reacting? Will this escalate the problem?

I know I for one am guilty of being part of the problem and I accept that, my on going battle with BDU and writing an article fishing for Newcastle fans, easy to solve, ignore BDU and stop fishing.

My concern is that we are talking more about Newcastle than about Sunderland and it just seems wrong to me and the banter is no more, its now who can insult who the most, IMO.

Now I’m not saying I am right because this is just my opinion and maybe I would have been better keeping my gob shut, but hey, when have I ever kept my gob shut?

Just putting this out there for thought, no interest in I did this and they did that.

BTW, I have merged the fishing threads to tidy them up.

I normally move on to the next thread as soon as one of our cousins from the dark side tries to wum/comment.
A few do come on this board with constructive criticism etc and to those sensible ones I apologise. I do feel however we have lost some good members/posters on this board due to the wumming.

As for bellendownunder I hope his next ****e comes out like a raggy pineapple.

As you are aware Syd i had to respond to a complaint made by fellow not606er last night, the complaint was about threatening comments made by one of our members against a member of the dark side.

Like yourself i deliberately kept out of it last night although i did keep having a look to see if there was owt interesting going on but all i could see from about 18:00 onwards was deliberate Mag Baiting. The longer it went on the worse it got.
Now don't get me wrong, if any of them want to come over to our board and start wumming then as far as i'm concerned they are setting themselves up for a fall and they are fair game, give em all you've got lads.
But, when you invite them over, not once but several times, then that's a different matter and for me that's not the way I want to see this Forum go.

I joined up to discuss all things Sunderland with likeminded people and there are plenty of you out there, but if certain individuals want to transform it into a Mag Baiting Forum then i won't be hanging around and i suspect there are others on here with the same opinion. If you look at the amount of posters on here last night there were about 6 to 8 and half of them were mags.

The likes of Syd, BruceysBeak & MackemsRule put a lot of hard work into building this Forum up, don't spoil their good work lads, don't drag it down.

I always have a look a your board and have posted a few times.

This morning as usual I had a look and I couldnt belive what I read.

Good fans like a bit of banter but some post's were hostile.

I'm of the more mature fans but there are a couple of so called mature Sunderland fans who want to grow up and realize football has moved on from the 60's and 70''s. We all saw great football but also the bad side with the violence off the pitch.

I'm not saying forget the good time because I bore my kids telling them about the great players I saw at SJP .

I also think we should respect the younger poster's on here. A lot of these lad's know their stuff and love their club.

I also like a drink but know when I am spouting rubbish and go off forum, I think some other's should the same instead of blaming being ****ed again for giving out abuse. You are showing your fans and club up.

As I've said before Syd, we both have our "silly" posters. I enjoy many a good banter with some of your folk, and long may it continue. Don't let the lunatics take over the asylum.

There seems to be a core section of Newcastle fans who seem hell-bent on having something sarcastic to say on almost every Sunderland article, and I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to fishing for bites with this group, although I always try to do it in a non-threatening manner. I do try to be more civil to the more sensible 'darkside' supporters and give them the respect they deserve.

Can someone tell MackemsRule to stop taking everything so personally as he has become somewhat of an easy target, and I like a bit of a challenge

I think its the likes of this tosser the minga, who never debate, are always critical and are on this board for one purpose only, show me one post where this tosser has debated anything about football, yes we can ignore him, but then can we go on the mags board and be treated as they are here, a big no is the answer, Debate is fine but we all know some don't want that they just want to cajole a response.
