mown the lawn, weeded the veggie patch, dead headed the flowers, been on holiday, read a library of books, posted far too many articles on here, painted the spare bedroom, serviced the car, been shopping more times than I care to remember, been to all the local National Trust properties, visited my long lost relatives, insulted the Skates, given up insulting the Skates, been out for far too many lunches, run up the phone bill talking to all of my mates, thought about being beastly to the Skates again, got the cash counted for the season ticket so that all leaves one thing..... .....and that is the news of our new signings and the exciting things at the club. I have searched the net, read all the sports pages in the newspapers, gone down to St Mary's, been in the Saints Shop in West Quay, read again all of last seasons programmes, watched all the recordings of last seasons highlights. I even dug out my old VHS tapes of Matt Le Tiss and the 76 Cup final to watch. I know it is only a few days away before the players return for pre season but...... .................I desperately need a fix of positive news to keep me going. How can I last out until Monday?
Thank goodness Godders, i am grateful for this post as i thought it was just me. i was about to report my computer had broken as i keep refreshing the saints website and there is no change. i was also getting worried and thought my computer was in serious trouble as i could not find a single oxlade-chamberlain thread on not 606 in the last few days. Glad its not just me
Well I never. You would have thought that this would have been trumpeted by the club on the official website.
I had a job and I worked for over fifty years. Not one penny of dole money or other benefits in my whole life. Struggling on my pension a little bit now and that nasty bloke Cameron and his capitalist cronies wants to make it even harder for me. He seems to think it was me rather than the Bankers who destroyed the economy. Any way I shall show solidarity with our brave union men and women tomorrow by joining thir rally in the Guildhall Square at 11.30. Up the workers and down with the Tory capitalist scum and their insulting "We're all in this together" nonsense. I bet Cameron and Clegg haven't had to forego a thing this week unlike the rest of us plebs.
Steady on Godders. If you've retired, then be grateful it was at a decent age; the rest of us will have to work til 75 at this rate
