I have never seen Ameobi so composed, skillful and working so hard.

i was thinking the same thing, every time he got the ball i watched through my hands only to be impressed as to his control and ability to keep control of the ball.

I'm not sure him winning a place back in the side could be a good thing or not... If he gets back in the team will he get complacent and be like the real Shola? Best was a bit off today so Ameobi might have his sights on his place, but aside from that we were great and unlucky not to win.

You do know that this means he'll start next game and turn back into to a complete donkey again

More than likely. I reckon him and Sammy have been practising in the garden. Breaking his moms fence.

I read somewhere that AP had Shola work on his conditioning...looks like it really paid off...Hope it stays this way.

Shola is gonna up his game, hoping Liverpool offer £35m for him in Jan and then proceeds to play like we normally see him!

Maybe it's the turning point and Shola will become awesome?

I had to eat my words at the game today. Was going mad when he came on and Ba came off. I wasn't the only one who looked silly when he smashed the goal in and did some ridiculous bit of skill after.

Maybe this is the Shola managers see in training? He does like to try some clever moves and his trademark stepovers, and his finishing is very good when he's on form.

No you ARE Kevin Turvey! <laugh>

He looked like a different player, I feel a bit two faced now, I've not been his biggest fan in the past.

It's a shame he wont sustain it, has 3 or 4 good days a season (Wolves, Sunderland and Chelsea in the cup last season) then reverts to his usual self.
