Since Short got total control of the Club I detect a more savvy approach to our dealings in the transfer market. For example, I believe some if not all of the free transfers recently have been done deals for months, ok because of the rules maybe a handshake deal in place.
I think we now have a policy of operating quietly behind the scenes in an attempt to set up deals. I guess many approaches to Clubs and players have been made discretely and fell by the wayside. We will only hear of the successful ones. I also think a lot of the public statements about players we are interested in is deliberately meant to mislead to disguise our true transfer intentions.
If true, I applaud the Club for its professional approach.
So if Bruce and co are talking about specific players-it aint going to happen!
