Now admit it, I'm not the only one who has dreamt about Sunday's games, I did last night. Basically we were holding City to a 0 0 draw with some excellent defending, for a change, away from home. The Stoke game was also 0 0 with 5 minutes left, and then Burnley scored!!!! At which point I woke up, saying to myself how ridiculous, Stoke aren't even playing Burnley!!! Back in the real world I'm hoping for a last day of the season with, for a change, no twists and turns, a day when Bolton don't score and stay firmly where they are at the moment, I can dream!!!!!
It gets spookier, just seen this on bbc website: Next week, Owen Coyle will be returning to the scene of his first game as a Premier League manager - his Burnley side lost 2-0 to Stoke at the Britannia Stadium in August 2009.
Hi Peruv, how ya doing? Not too spooky from this end but Mrs RTID (not really interested in football but follows for my sake and to gauge my mood and thus knowledgeable enough) woke on either Sunday or Monday morning having dreamt that we held them to 0:0 and thus achieved safety! Surely a good sign! Portents from Heaven?!
I'm doing good RTID, I don't think God would have brought a fellow Ranger half way round the world just to see us get relegated! We'll soon find out! The irony is that we'd better stay up next season if we do this as it would be nice to see a Premiership game when I'm next back in Autumn 2013! Simon says he knows someone who can get me a ticket! Lol!
Just woke up from one, no kidding. We scored in the 4th minute and then again at the start of the second half. City were a bag of nerves. Then I woke up.....
Aah, the old one's are the best! Hope your wet dream comes true, waking up in bed between CB and your stalker!
My dream is for Stoke to repeat the performance and result of last seasons FA Cup semi-final v Bolton.
I really did have a dream last night - I was watching our game on TV against Man City, whilst keeping an eye on the Stoke vs. Bolton score off the BBC website. Our game was 0-0 and we were fighting for everything, Cisse looking particularly strong in attack. Then the scoreline, Stoke 0 Bolton 1 flashed up and I woke up, so not sure how our game finished - a draw would still have been enough to keep us up, even if Bolton won.
My dreams have been necessarily cut short recently. Maybe it was when I started muttering "Crouch..... crouch..... touch the ball..... go on, give it some head..... Pulis off..... ". Then the wife slapped me.....
