I had a bad dream last neet

Pardew was given an extension to his contract.
Can anyone ever actually see this happening?

The extension Pardew should be given is the kind with a boxing glove at the end of it.

 

certainly. he is doing exactly what mike ashley wants: keeping us in the prem, spending little, being a lightning rod for abuse and not complaining. viewed from the owners point of view, his performance has been flawless

 

While I absolutely agree with this.... I think it would make sense for Pardew to be released at the end of his current contract. Ashley would temporarily be in the good books for getting rid, he can hire another suitable patsy to do the exact same job (there's numerous around now, I'm sure there will be in the future), and he's covered in case someone puts in a bid for the club, because if he ties down Pardew to another lengthy contract, that's one more thing an incoming investment team won't want.

 

If Ashley wants to sell he won't lock in a manager for that long as potential suitors will see that as a negative.

I prefer the dream where he buys himself out of his contract to go and manage the England team. Also because it has Angelie Jolie in it dressed as Lara Croft.
