Great business by NW and team today.

Can't help feeling a teeny bit (only a teeny bit) that we did not get Crouch, Dann, Bellamy etc.

I suppose we have to accept that players have their preference eg Bellamy and Liverpool is totally understandable (though Crouch and Stoke is not!) and that we are a work in progress. Hopefully in a few seasons we will see even bigger names coming in - and an even bigger budget to spend!

Genuinely not ungrateful here. Just being honest about the 0.5% that wants a little more!

    You Rssssssssssssss!!

Totally agree. I wish I hadn't woken up this morning to see we were favorites for Crouch and Bellamy, but at least it shows the clubs ambition. As you say I can understand Bellamy, but the Crouch deal????? I'm sure it must have come down to not wanting to pay 10 million for him, as I can't believe he'd choose Stoke over us.

But I'm sure the players we've signed will do a job and keep us safe. If things are looking good in January then I'm sure we'll be able to invest in some quality players again.

Great work by Neil, Amit, Tony and Phil. The dream team has be born.

Good, solid business today. We now have a squad capable of getting a respectable league position by the end of the year and then potentially pushing on afterwards in the next window. Times are good, let's be proud. Come on you Rs.

I now believe that there are a number of worse clubs in the Premier League than us. So this really is just the beginning......

    a load of great signings.
craig ellllamy would have made us a gerat but volatile midfiled but i still belive we have a great future in the prem and with a very interesting and promising team including traoré and dave.

We are getting ahead of ourselves, why would someone pick Stoke in front of us? maybe the fact they're an established PL team where as we are new to the league and still candidates for relegation

Not sure I agree Brixton (unless the money is obscene eg Man City etc). Either way, agree with most of above. We have a FAIR, FIGHTING CHANCE AT SURVIVAL AND THAT HAD TO be the aim for this season (caps error, sorry).

I would suggest crouch didn't choose Stoke! He didn't want to go there but levy forced him to (papers today). All connected to the palacios deal as Stoke agreed a deal for the pair not singularly
