How do we not deserve it if we've been better than everyone else? The team who wins the league is the team who deserves to win the league.
Ah, the bitterness just oozes.... P.S. We've already scored more goals and have a better goal difference than Arsenal did in their 97/98 double winning year. So I guess they didn't deserve that title either?
Today would have been a great opportunity for a team who possessed a set of balls amongst eachother to pile on the pressure. Instead, you broke another record. Not only were you the first team to clinch a winner 6 minutes into injury time, but, somehow, you were the first team to throw it away 12 minutes into injury time. From a neutral pont of view, I thought you were **** again today.
We were ok, thats all you can say. We had our typical problem of not being direct enough and overdoing the passes.
Oh yeah and Nasri has gone back to pre this seasons form. Looks either tired or lacking in confidence.
Considering we're Champions League semi finalists, it says Volume on allot of clubs. Only three clubs in the world aren't either "****" or "More ****" according to him.
Agreed this year the quality has been severly lacking. We have played some awful stuff most of the season and been **** away from home. Arsenal do their standard pretty football with no end product/bottle job at end of season. Chelsea went through their worst 20 game spell in over a decade, awful set of results which coincided with relgation form. Been pretty **** of late even with an improvement on that run. City for all the money spent still have far too much mediocrity. Barry, lescott, Jo, WP etc and a manager who although playing a tad more attacking now has been stupidly defensive when they should have been going for it. Spurs been incosistant and strikers who are alergic to scoring so havent been a threat, nor despite what people say, pretty to watch.
I think there is a distinction to be made, at the start of the season generally we play pretty football and it is effective, but towards the end of the season our play is one paced and predictable.I found nothing attractive about yesterdays performance apart from Nasri's flick to RvP and a moment in the first half when RvP backheeled it to Fabregas and he hit a great 1st time pass to Walcott. Those 2 moments were some of our best chances in the match. People need to understand its not our style of football thats the problem, being able to do it is.
