To Thailand. Going to teach English, arrive back May 17. Will try to watch the Barnsley game in a bar! What date is the play off final.....does that potentially work like magic or am I dreaming haha! Will really love reading all your comments, and will definitely give my thoughts from afar. Take care all !
Good Luck on your new adventure Westy! I know we haven't always seen eye to eye on this board but this is what it's all about. I hope you continue to post on here as you offer some excellent opinions and comments on all things ITFC! Wear the Shirt with pride over there and I hope it all works out for you. Oh and take some REP over with you!
You should meet up with ThaiCanary while your out there, he's a good lad, and I'm sure that he'd love to meet a fellow East Anglian football fan!
Good luck westlake and hope it all works out well for you Be careful who you get massages from! Hope you will still pop in and read about our mundane bumpkin lifes over here whilst you enjoying yourself! and off course dont forget to add your own insights into the seaso head Take care mate
Good luck westy. I'm sure you'll manage to catch some games somewhere and continue to contribute to these pages. Let them know not all football revolves around London,Manchester and Liverpool.
Cheers guys, I'm nervous but excited. I will certainly read and post on here as normal! Warky we rarely agree but I do love reading your posts, your a passionate tractor boy like us all on here and I know we'd all get on quite well in a bar/messy evening out !
Can't possibly think why you'd want to spend an extended period of time there-just think of the weather,food,women-only joking -I'm going with envy!!
Lucky So & so.... One of my ambitions is to properly go travelling / regret for not doing it already and fear I won't ever be in a position to be able too now... I'd also be interested to meet one of these famed 'Ladyboys' first hand* *Always think of Alan Partridge at the comment of Lady boys
Enjoy Westy. With regard to the Ladyboys, look at the legs, they're usually the best way not to get yourself into a predicament. Hope all this has a happy ending for you
Best of luck in your venture young man. Always good to go out of your comfort zone. I admire that greatly. If you try and stand still, you go backwards. Once again, take care and safe journey.
Have fun Westy. I've been an immigrant for over thirteen years now, taking in Holland and now the US and it's been great. Whilst I miss the pubs in Suffolk and Portman Road I don't miss the weather. You are going to have a great time and will probably meet some other British people who you would not mormally have spoken to in England but will connect with because you are overseas. I have a lot of respect for people who are prepared to take the chance to live somewhere else. It can be a scary moment, thinking that you are alone without too much back-up, but you'll be fine.
Best of luck Westy...you will love Thailand - try and get to the North and avoid the honeyspots!! I taught TEFL in Malaysia for 3 years - you will come back a changed man..hah.ha!
you'd think that but I think some actually get it their adams apple removed, they're very convincing!! The problem is the only real way to tell is when it's too late!!!
