I don't think we will sign a central midfielder this summer

    Everyone has been saying that we need new central midfielders for years and we haven't bothered to sign any and I expect the same this summer. I think the likes of Anderson, Carrick, Fletcher and Gibson are viewed differently by Fergie than they are by the media and most fans. I think Fergie is genuinely happy with them and considering they have all had new contracts recently I don't think he has any intention of replacing them. He has said he will make 3 signings and I expect them to be De Gea, Young and Varane.

    Agree fully that there won't be a central midfilder,

    There is no doubt in my mind that Young, Verane and De Gea will be our signings.

    No he is not, he is predominantly a center back

    Yes but also plays when required in midfield as a DCM.

    Yes but at Utd he will be used as a defender as it is more than likely Brown will be sold.

    You could be right but remember that behind Rio and Vidic are Smalling, Evans and O'Shea. Remember that with Hargreaves going we have no one ready expect perhaps Fletcher who can be a DCM. If this lad signs and fits the bill, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in that role. Question is will SAF sign an ACM who can score goals, create chances and link up with the forwards?

    I doubt he will sign a ACM simply because Anderson plays that role.

    He can play the attacking role and did for Porto quite well

    He barely scores any goals since he rarely troubles the keeper. Also he did well for Porto! In what role, ACM? If so how many goals did he score for them? What was his statistics for shots attempted and shots on target?

    With the resigning of Owen, would any of you be surprised if Obertan and Bebe and Gibson were to get 5 year deals? I wouldn't

    Nohlman, I'm sure I remember you agreeing with Swarbs on a thread which he created earlier this week. I honestly do not know why you constantly change your opinions. A few days ago you agreed with Swarbs on United signing a new midfielder, all of a sudden you disagree?
