Some of the titles in that blog. Wenger’s fraudulent philosophy Wenger tried to shaft Arsenal board/Robson leaves Arsenal TV Gazidis still enslaved by Wenger’s despotism Munich choke as jealous Gooners slate Chelsea Arsenal end season in same disgraceful way they started it Once a great manager, now a sorry clown Arsenal 1 Man City 0: another sad day for football Huh? And finally reflects on the great derby win with this title. Spurs do ‘an Arsenal’ + ratings Think it's fair to say, that this guy is a 'half-empty' person.
It seems to be more than disillusioned. Surely they have 'crossed swords' at some stage? I can't remember anything specific. Is he Pulis' best mate, or something?
The guy from Mail he based his blog upon is clearly anti-Arsenal as well. The guy states that Wenger does not develop talent, he just "steals" players, polishes them and sells. In the same article he says that Harry Redknap on contrary has "transformed" "utterly ineffective" Modric and now can sell him for £35ml. He apparently forgot that Van Persie, Fabregas &Co were nobody when Wenger brought them to Arsenal, whereas Modric was already an established international and the key player for Croatia. according to this guy it is Harry who develops the talent, not Wenger... LOL
Don't have an inside track on Samuel's personal feelings regarding Wenger, but his article was spot on.
The part of that blog concerning Martin Samuel is not too far from the truth. We have upset a few clubs over the years with what they perceive to be our stealing of their youth players. We certainly pissed off PSG & Barcelona over Anelka & Fabregas. The rest of the blog is a load of ****e probably written by someone who only started supporting Arsenal in 2004. I bet he's the same prick who tried to organise the black bin bag protest last season.I often thought Robson was sailing close to the wind. It's not very clever whoring yourself around the media slagging off your employers
Then why is Cym partially agreeing with him as well in part? I have no gripe with Wenger at all, I happen to think he was a good manager but he is flawed. Nothing Samuel has said about the youth player business is wrong in my view. Although where I'd criticise Samuel is why he has only targeted Wenger. Several others have done the same including your very own neighbours but the difference is Spurs don't complain about it and moan which is probably why Samuel is less quick to criticise them.
The article didn't make any sense. I honestly couldn't understand the point he was making. He seemed to say that because Wenger ony brought players through from 16 onwards, it ddn't count as development. He didn't say what age, he would consider development, 15?, 11? or does Wenger have to be present at the birth of the child for it to count?
Oh, Martin Samuel is a journalist with the mail. I thought he was the guy that played Heathers fiancee in Eastenders.......
From the **** article: Therefore, if players are coming in at 16 then Arsenal are teaching them the tactical element, without which any footballer - barring the exceptional I guess - would be useless.
