There is no money for new players That we - only Sunderland - are paying historical money for players that have left That a rough attendance of 40,000 every home game has us in the red That after 8 full and into our 9th running season on the Sky gravy boat we are in the financial clarts That Leicester, Stoke, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, Watford, West Ham, WBA or even Everton are more financially secure than we should be. This stinks. We are being treat like idiots and letting it happen. If we are in such a bad financial state, why would a yank billionaire be in charge. The cream is being skimmed off and we are all just saying "don't rock the boat or he will leave". We are pathetic
We still crying like little bitches despite a dramatic improvement and a good result? To say this forum is like a broken record is an understatement. Do people not get sick crying on about the the same ****? Been to the match, had a great day, come back for a bit safc crack and the first thread is more ****ing crying.
Funky I sincerely believe that I could win the lottery - log onto this site and be on a f**king downer ffs
Mad init. Place is ****e at the moment, not ventured onto the other threads, if this is out to go by it's just grim grim grim. Gonna log off and enjoy my night. Later fella.
So Funk (a good lad who I have met and enjoyed your company). You are the stat man. Please just do a general estimate of the money in and out over the last 10 years, will you? Tell me where I am wrong. If we are bleeding money over the last decade to such a position that Stoke and Leicester can pay £13m this close season and we can only pay 8, let me know why. One point at home from a game against Swansea doesn't have me cracking open the '57 verve cliquoe
Can I just say Bobby. Two threads you've asked for this. Why not do it yourself? No point in asking someone else to do something to satisfy your curiosity. I'd happily do it but I'm working and have to go back on soon. Lid be interested too but I think you'll be surprised
What needs to be factored into any costs of running the club is how much we are paying in contractual liabilities. PDC and GP and their entourages could still be on the books and they will not be cheap. Not nice or good for the club but they were dismissed rather than break their contracts so still have to be honoured.
I'm not saying you're wrong it just another thread saying the same **** that's been said a million times. I'll work out whatever you want if you gather me the data fella. You're asking me to do a lot of work going back ten years and it's a Saturday night and I've had a skin full and I'm happy but by all means put yourself through hell gathering morbid depressing data but the results will probibly shock you. Just an exercise here. This is our current squad. GOALKEEPERS 1COSTEL PANTILIMON 13JORDAN PICKFORD* 25VITO MANNONE DEFENDERS 12ADAM MATTHEWS 15YOUNES KABOUL 2BILLY JONES 3PATRICK VAN AANHOLT 5WES BROWN 16JOHN O'SHEA 27SANTIAGO VERGINI* 22SEBASTIAN COATES VALENTIN ROBERGE MIDFIELDERS 17JEREMAIN LENS 21YANN M'VILA 8JACK RODWELL 14JORDI GOMEZ 30WILL BUCKLEY 7SEBASTIAN LARSSON 11ADAM JOHNSON 23EMANUELE GIACCHERINI 4LIAM BRIDCUTT 6LEE CATTERMOLE CHARIS MAVRIAS STRIKERS 26STEVEN FLETCHER 19DANNY GRAHAM 18JERMAIN DEFOE ok all I need you to do is copy the list and put your estimated weekly wage for each player next to the name and I'll crunch some numbers when I've got a tick.
What is utterly beyond me is why Giaccherini again did not get a game and Watmore had to wait until the 86th minute; he had to sit and watch that feker fletcher go on first? These two are class players, so could somebody explain to me the tactics behind this, which seems to be the same no matter which manager we have had in the last 3-seasons. Basically use the ****, ignore the pleas from the fans and create fekin misery for 7-months of a season. Yes we got a point today, we couldn't have played much worse than the last two games, Pantilman saved us today yet again. EVEN after the debacle of the Norwich and Leicester games 39000 brilliant fans turned up today, they are keeping the faith, Mr Short please properly reward that faith
We're all disappointed that the cash for new signings isn't what we'd hoped but come on, why pick now to have a whinge about it. It's a good enough squad to thrive in the league and today proved it. Swansea are a good side and we matched them. The first two games were an anomaly not an accurate depiction of the quality of the team. Yes it was only a point but the real news from today is that we've got our fight back.
I think you have many top earners. I would think oshea, brown, kaboul, lens, mvila, Roswell, Johnson, giacch and Defoe are all on 60-100 k. Maybe even more for Defoe. Many of them, mainly the English ones aren't worth half that. ( bar Defoe?)
not that high mate 70k for defoe maybe JOS , Kaboul, AJ maybe 45k . Whatever its too ****ing much. We have a lot on 20ish i reckon, some not even at the club
