    Not IMO - Vergini was trying to get his foot around the ball to get it out. Looked to me like he misjudged the flight and it came off the inside instead of the outside. I honestly can't see why he was passing a ball back like that. I mean we've all got under a ball but not to pass it 50 yards instead of 30. How hard does he need ot kick a ball back to his keeper!

    The goalkeeper was miles off his line, so the guy had an open goal to put it in.

    Vergini had to bury the ball in the bottom corner to beat mannone. I found Verginis more comical, but maybe that's because it's vergini.

    Kevin Ballls almost own goal at Newcastle would have took some beating had that gone in.
