He started out at Liverpool and paperwork seems to be the bane of his life! please log in to view this image Fulham midfielder Pajtim Kasami has unfinished business at Liverpool ahead of his Anfield return on Saturday. The Swiss rising star spent eight months on Merseyside as a teenager, only for paperwork to scupper any chance of a permanent deal. Kasami has since carved out a career in England with the Cottagers via Italian outfits Lazio and Palermo. The 21-year-old is relishing the return to the North West as Fulham bid to end a run of three successive defeats. âIt went well but I had some problems with my documents because I was very young,â Kasami recalls from his time with the Reds. âI have fond memories of my time up there. I met a lot of good people. I played two friendlies for the reserves, with players like Steven Gerrard, Fernando Torres and Xabi Alonso. âI am looking forward to going back up there.â Source: http://www.getwestlondon.co.uk/spor...tim-kasami-relishing-liverpool-return-6279013
It says a lot about his level of talent that he'd come through Liverpool's youth system (second to none, IMO). He's young, he's competitive and there's every indication he'll be a solid EPL professional for the next 10 years, given the right guidance and mentoring. Of our current lot of players, he's one of a few I wouldn't bin once the transfer window opens.
