why we could not win those last 4 games! This was not so much a prediction, nor foolish optimism, just seemed possible given the way the team were playing. The next 2? Will be tough - will the players suffer from some youthful optimism and be brought back down to earth, or discover the wisdom of the experienced and get a good results. I fear the former as we seem to have been somewhat lucky against Coventry and Millwall. Not saying we didn't deserve to win, but it seems either could have been like Burnley or Barnsley in terms of result.

    thoughts anyone?

i stopped predicting citys next result in 1997 , i remember it well , it coincided with more superstitions that for a few seasons proved pointless dropping LOL
The next season i thought it was the city shirts i was wearing to the ground n so i stopped buying them

I think Boro will be a very tough test. Win that and I think automatics are realistic, top 6 for sure.

Agreed: I posted at the time that I felt we were a team in transition. Transition from ultra-defensive to entertaining, attacking football. Felt that the team opened up but didn't sufficiently 'watch their backs'.

I haven't seen Boro play but an away win at Cardiff suggests they are bang in form.. however the last 3 "good" teams we've played, we've narrowly lost one 1-2 to Saints and beaten Leicester & Brum.. so it should be a close game..

Boro will be tough but our form is as good if not better than theirs. A draw would be a good result but a win would be great!

Boro will be our biggest test since Saints, I'd gladly take a draw, but we better do Burnley.
