I honestly can't wait to see Ben Afra like this again, looks so sharpe and confident .. Hope he ends up like the same player, from what we've seen since he's come back he definitely seems like he still wants to take everyone on !!

Anyone think he wont be the same player as we seen in the vid above or like he was at Merseille?

 

Its not fair to base judgement until he gets a Prem start under his belt this season so ill wait and see til then.

 

hope we dont get complacent vs wigan, people are saying play a weakend team to save players for the carling cup, need to give benni 45 mins and santon start

 

PL has to come before the CC.

 

He's fine physically, just needs to overcome the psychological barrier when facing 50-50s.

 

Yea i know people are saying we need to really try for a cup this season but i would honestly rather have a better chance of getting the points in the league, would love us to finish in europe then we can really try for that cup next year .. not going to get too far ahead of myself like, wouldnt want to be labelled as deluded or anything

 

Yea i've been there myself .. Ruptured my cruciate ligament and broke my leg in 2 places a few year ago, a bit different though seeing as there were no players around me :S .. when i started playing again i was wary of having no players around me incase it happened again haha

 

He seems to give the ball away 90% of the time in that video...

 

Ouch :/ I broke my right leg in 2 places when I was 9 playing football. After that I never used my right as I was scared it would break - so basically now I'm all left footed lol. Sadly, due to a heart problem I have to concentrate more on coaching than playing which was really hard to take because football is my life and to think I can't play again hurts tbh. But, gotta think of your health I suppose. Do have a cheeky kick about sometimes though

 

I just hope he doesn't think he has to take on every team alone in order to prove his worth. He seems to keep hold of the ball a little too long when he should release it.

We all know we have a talent on our hands however I fail to see how everyone rates him so highly for us when he has barely played and only shown glimpses of his skill. He could be amazing, but the fact that people on here seem to think he's our best player already without hardly playing a game always confuses me.

 

I think he is trying to impress too much. Wants to do the spectacular I think
