and stated you had done the wrong thing by signing to many players and the players signed weren 't that good of quality and I thought you would struggle. It was an honest assessment, I got laughed off the page and told that I was only jealous like a lot of other fans from premier league clubs and that something really special was happening at QPR. Do you's still think the same now? Personally, I think you need to get rid of Hughes and do everything in your power to get Redknapp because he could potentially have you challenging top half, which I assume is where you aspire to be.
No, you only have to make the effort to look at other threads on here to get a view of what we think, pretty mixed - quite a few who want Hughes' days to be definitively numbered, quite a few who are sure this will turn out fine. I'm in the latter camp, our performances against Chelsea and Spurs showed this is a quality outfit. When we get a couple of our 5 injured defenders back, we'll kick on. Enough?
I can't remember the thread mate, out of interest, which players did you think "weren 't that good of quality"?
Probably granero, Mbai, Tarbs, Hoiullett and Faurlin....6 players that would walk into 90% of the teams in the premiership.. Oh yeah..and Ceasar....!!Was prob right about green though !!
Typical willy waving thread from an opposition fan, saying "I told you so" To a degree you have been correct, getting a lot of new players has made it more difficult than it would have been with a settled established team. BUT what has hurt us the most is the massive injuries to our back four......our whole 1st choice defence is out injured at the moment and we dont have suffiecient cover. Yes this is Hughes fault to some degree, as cover should have been bought.....and his tactics in some of the games have been wrong. But coming on here and gloating "I told you so", when your not actually 100% correct is just childish and makes you look more like an idiot than a "clevercloggs".
Maybe we should of listened to you? Thank you Jesus The question remains what could you have done to save us ?
safc83, surely whether you are 'right' or not has yet to be determined. If the season ended today then, of course, you were bang on the mark. However, it is a marathon and not a sprint. Happy to eat humble pie but only when the table states all is lost and QPR are down. Bit of a way to go before that I think. Don't you?
Father-of-four Rigg, 43, also offers a strong defence of QPR’s recruitment policy, particularly critics who say the club have overspent on players closer to the end of their careers than the start. “We have been pilloried a bit by the wider media, saying we spent fortunes," he continued. "We haven’t. "We spent £13.8 million on 12 players. Five were free transfers. The ones we have paid transfer fees for have all got a longevity at the club, like [Junior] Hoilett. We have released 15 and contract re-negotiated eight. We have 25 players in the squad, less than we had last year. “If we wanted to bring in players who were a lot younger, we wouldn’t have spent £13m-£14m. We would have spent £30-£40m. You tell me where you can buy good quality players on reasonable wages who understand the Premier League and have got Premier League experience. It doesn’t happen. “The strategy behind it was to improve the quality in various positions that we were weak in and where the squad needed to be strengthened. The key was age and experience. Before, we had very little Premier League experience or top-level experience.”...........................cont http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896...the-man-behind-every-manchester-city-transfer
I don't think we laughed you off, more like told you to f*** off. I couldn't give a **** about sunderland, so you keep your opinions about our club to yourself deal?
i wonder if things were different, would have have come back and held your hands up saying you were wrong? didn't think so.
Didn't bother coming back to answer a direct question then! I think I speak for everyone, when I say 'Safc83' ****off you're twat please log in to view this image
safc: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=safc Strange, always thought it was short for "shìt and for cùnts".
To be fair to the OP, the season is now over. The next 32 games are a mere formality. The solution to endless upheaval and instability is to bring in an OAP manager who loves throwing money around. Well done to him for seeing it before we did.
Oh my god! As if it's not bad enough our own fans wanting a managerial carousel, Now we're even getting opposing fans telling us to sack the manager and employ 'ol Arry. Short termism strikes again!! Have kept thoughts to myself on keeping Hughes (so as not to take the abuse that often gets given out to stoic Hughes haters). He has to stay. The club reformation has to continue. The future is building!! Things will turn around. ....and I'm just as frustrated as you at how the start has gone, but I'm looking at the BIG picture. Onwards and upwards
