Surely captain rodgers started off winning game after game. An immediate turn around in fortunes and everything worked from day one.

Well take a seat and prepare to be blown away.

2 points in his first 5 games. Just 3 wins in his first 14. Ineffective game plans as he drilled his ideas into the side.

The thread is on their board. Have a read and see this shocking revelation for yourselves.

Not too great a parallel considering Van Gaal's reputation and United's strength compared to ours at time.

Novel counter-WUM though, enjoyed reading it.

    Got bored after 3 pages.

Why does the Astroturf guy use a hash tag in every post? Is he a 13 year old Twitter fanatic?

'Flabbergasted' is a good word which is under-utilised in my opinion. Like 'Coccydynia', or 'Bescumber'. <ok>

Using us as a benchmark? You hope VG turns out good like Rodgers did? I thought you thought we didnt do anything of note last season or indeed since Rodgers came? You're giving out mixed signals

Another who missed the point. Nothing to do with comparing the individuals.

Hohoho... Surely you'd say Van Gaal has the pedigree to adapt to any league with the needed immediacy?

I remember tikitaka Brenda getting ridiculed during these first few months. He was trying a new way of playing but the players couldn't do or were not ready for it.

I think LVG's task is much harder as the system he is trying to implement is so alien to a team like United. It will take many matches and many points dropped for the players to get used to his system. If he starts getting the wins in the next few games I'll be astonished <ok>

  20. Could have sworn UIR was arguing prior to the season starting that PL experience matter precisely diddly squat when it comes to a manager of LVG's pedigree <whistle>
