As hard as this is for me to do, I have decided that enough is enough. I can't take any more of Ken Bates fleecing this great club and it's fantastic supporters. I am so gutted by this blatant lack of ambition in favour of banking money that I can't speak!! What is going on? We are a massive club, we have a huge fan base, international supporters, a proud history...yet here we are selling arguably our best player while Leicester are having a £6.5m bid turned down by Rangers for a striker. What is going on?

I have followed this proud club since 1965, I now live down south and it takes me 3 hours to get to home games, of which I see at least 12 a season, along with 6 away games. I am a member, I buy the kit, subscribe to the match day programme, subscribe to Yorkshire Radio, subscribe to text alerts, always buy something from the club shop when I attend games, have even used the corporate facilities to entertain clients at matches....I try and support the club financially as much as I can. No more Mr Bates!!

As of today I will not attend another Leeds United match whilst Bates is at the club. I will not renew my membership or subscriptions....I will not put another penny into that charlatan's pockets. He simply does not deserve my hard-earned cash!!

Now, I am not for one minute suggesting that any of you wonderful Leeds fans follow me on this crusade, but if you feel the urge to do the same, I would welcome it. I'd love to see an empty Elland Road with just the away fans in. That would really rattle Ken Bates!!! What a message that would send. Sky and the BBC would be all over it, and Bates would be under severe pressure. How good would it be if all the fans simply stood OUTSIDE the ground chanting "BATES OUT" while the stadium was empty during a match? Please God, let this happen.

So, there it is. I refuse to pay good money to see "the team Ken built". I am not going to stand by idly while he destroys our club. He already has legends like Gray and Lorimer in his pocket, and that is galling enough as it is. **** YOU KEN BATES!!! NO MORE!!! I REFUSE TO TAKE THIS **** ANY LONGER!!!! And please take the horrible black/lime green kit with you.

Spread the word around all the Leeds forums and contact the media, this is exactly what is required. It's hard and I understand why some just can't do it, but for the future of this great club we MUST make a stand and the game against Man Utd is perfect for the stand to be really made.
The anti Bates fans are now by far the majority of the Leeds support and those who stand by him are slowly appearing to lose confidence in him, FOR THE SAKE OF THIS GREAT FOOTBALL CLUB, PLEASE BOYCOTT GAMES, DON'T BUY ANY GOODS FROM THE CLUB, PROTEST AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE, IF YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE GAMES, SIGN "BATES OUT" FOR AS LONG AND AS OFTEN AS YOU CAN, CONTACT THE LOCAL MEDIA WITH YOUR STORY AND OTHER MEDIA I.E SOCCER AM, FOOTBALL FOCUS, SKY SPORTS, 442 ETC.
Lastly, do not take in what happens on the field, winning games is not going to change how Bates works, how we do on the pitch doesn't matter just now, this is a protest and the only goal is getting Bates out.

Even a 5 minute delay for fans to take their seats at the SCUM match, If the boys kicked off with just the scum fans it would send a message all over the world as this will be live on sky. There would be no denying it.

Cheap KB would probably close the gates kick off and open up a legal battle with us, using the club's money for the court fees!

Simon...how strange is it that every time we have sold a player under Bates, that player has "handed in a transfer request". Scott Parker just handed one in at West Ham. Why? It is a legal requirement to facilitate a move so that the player doesn't get any of the transfer fee. If a player is sold against his will, then he gets a slice of the pie. Gradel has NEVER said he wanted to leave, in fact he said before the season started that he was thrilled to be at a big club like Leeds. Think again mate!!

"He handed in a transfer request..."

Yes, so you have written on numerous posts.

Lots of questions regarding that statement but here are just two:

    1) Is it true because the website states it?

    2) If true, under what circumstances did he do it? As I posted on another thread too - I can just see it, the deal is all done, transfer fee negotiated, new contract terms agreed, just some signatures needed when a Leeds United official, pick the villain, announces "Wait, this can only go through if the ungrateful player (sanitized for youthful and female eyes) hands in a transfer request (similar situation for Scott Parker?)."

If this sort of thing (unable to retain him) happened with one Leeds player, well then these things happen; 2 players - perhaps a coincidence; but multiple players - it is a pattern! WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!

This boycotting of the kick-off at the Scum game sounds like a brilliant move. How funny it will be to see just Scummers in the ground for the first five minutes. Bates will have to take note, and the fact that millions around the world will be watching will make it very powerful. Sky will place a reporter and cameras outside the ground to cover the protest, and we will be heard. I will come to the Scum game and protest along with whoever decides to join in. It is time to take a stand.

Billystatue, thats spot on. Ive said elsewhere im no longer, or any of my family going to buy any Leeds merchandise. Unfortunately for financial reasons, we only make one or two games a year, but thats finished as well until the ayatullah moves on. And to Simon21, while everyone is entitled to their opinion, your closeted view of Bates are nothing short of extraordinary. We have got to reclaim our club now before any further damage is caused. That idea of boycotting first five minutes of scum game is brilliant but why not extend that to the first five minutes of all our home games. After all, we wont miss much as its alwhays the opposition that scores in the first five minutes
