I don't quite know how to write this, I want it to be short but meaningful and honest. Thank you Steve for the good times, the success and making all of us REDS walk tall again after all the ****e we had suffered with your predecessor, you gave us back our pride with the cup and promotion we achieved with you. I, for one thought we were going to be on our way this season and believed in your methods and decisions until very recently, events, results and performances have not been successful, you have proved to be stubborn and very staid in your methods, you use every excuse to the point of sheer monotony and when you turned on one of our own recently that done it for me, regardless of reason. I wish you all of the best for the future, you have my total respect for the way you try but the king is dead and Bristol City FC march on. Up the City..
Done us proud last season. This season way out of his league, stubborn, one trick pony. Thought he had the boro game and if we were hammered would have been the final nail in the coffin. He lost the fans Tuesday night, that always brings down the curtain.
I am appalled. It is a total disgrace. But as always it is the manager who carries the can. Last Saturday he had 16 players to call on I would imagine that nobody will sign for us now. This will be my last season I have had enough.
Thank you SC for the wonderful achievements last season which IMHO was a better one (with the JPT as well) than under GJ when we lost the Play Off Final. The club as a whole are incapable and inept when it comes to making good decisions and this is the latest. Abject
Hear hear. Like you I'm sad that he has gone but also very relieved. I could see my club dying before my eyes and the only thing I could think of doing, was to stop coming to matches. So tomorrow, my wife can walk along the beach with our dog.
There isn't much I can add to your post Wiz - sums it up for me. I feel nothing positive from this - I fail to see how a different manager will turn things around with only 16 players to call upon - we can but hope and pray - maybe a different formation to 3-5-2 could help(?). The West Brom game on Tuesday will be an interesting experiment now which could go either way - I now fear a public hiding on TV to be honest..... As for Steve - I wish him all the best - except if we face any of his teams in the future of course!
Got to agree on this one - what half-decent manager/coach will want to take over now? If the board are not prepared to pay the going rate for players why would a proven leader at this level want to know?11
I'm dissapointed In people saying that they're going to stop supporting us. I'll probably be going less next year but that's only because I will be at uni
