First he leaves us on loan to Burnley and scores against us a week later in the Premier league in his first game. Now he scores against us from distance out of nothing having been crap all game and told he is 'fecking useless ' in numerous chants from the Fratton End particularly after his ballooned effort from 3-4 yards out in front of our open goal. Why do returning attacking ( and sometimes defending) players score against their former teams ?. Is it because they know how their former teams defend and possible individual weaknesses? Crucial points lost in a game we should have won if it were not for Kitsons point blank miss/save by schmeikal, and the width of the post straight after Nugget's unusually accurate strike(thought Henderson should have done better). Thoughts fellow blues?. Still at least the Scummers lost and my heads up with DJ proved correct
Shame Chuck Norris's terrific shot hit the woodwork - it could have been 2-1 to us. Although a draw is probably a fair result. Thought the two new lads looked useful - the lad Thorne appears to read the game well, and will only get better with more experience. Need to beat Coventry next Saturday to keep up the momentum.
Oh Nuge scoring today was a given SB3. At least he didn't celebrate when he scored and he took the "fecking useless" chants in good spirit. They have to score really, just to show their old team and supporters what they're missing. We seemed to be playing 4-5-1 today, very disappointing. It's a pity Henderson still hoofs the ball up the field to the opposition. And I'm surprised Kits didn't lose his rag today the number of times he was fouled, climbed over and pushed. He's got more restraint than me, at least 3 of the foxes would have been decked if I'd been him........... which luckily I'm not.
I wondered why he wasn't in the squad as well but apparently he has a hamstring injury. Missed him today.
