Somebody mentioned Bruce's quote about players having to have a certain character to play for Sunderland.
Well we must have been sufficiently impressed with Gyan's character to want to set up links with a club in his homeland ( July 19th - SUNDERLAND AFC have gone into partnership with Ghana’s biggest club, Asante Kotoko FC, in a bid to extend the Wearsiders’ influence in West Africa.)
Maybe we'll get more like Gyan in the future (greedy, heart like a pea etc.,).

Then for the next masterstroke in our global transfer stategy we could branch out into Paraguay and Argentina to see if there's any more like riveros, da silva and angeleri.

Message to S Bruce: stop signing guys from the other side of the world who are only here for the money and don't give a toss about SAFC

Message to J O'shea: retire now from international football, we need you on the pitch that's why we gave you a 5yr deal and massive wages.

What else can we do when lads born and bred in Sunderland go to Liverpool for the money? :emoticon-0120-doh:
