No great loss some might say given recent performances, but should we be looking to bring in a replacement?

like you say, not a great loss but in the centre we have got Skuse, Bish, Tabb, Bru plus Ambrose can fill in there. would say no to an other but needs to be on the creative side of things!

Hyam really should be loaned out imo once he gets fit again.

Think you are all being a bit harsh on Luke, he clearly has been playing whilst carrying an injury last few appearances, thing is he was probably the least injured of the boys who can do a job in the middle of the park for us, Hyam had been doing ok before the Xmas period.

Think Hoppers is right, had been really pleased with Hyam before he got injured but since his injury, he has been gash and correctly slated by many inc me!! Maybe he had not fully recovered from his achilles problem, as hoppers said!! Certainly would not loan him out and when he is on form, he is far better than Skuse!! IMO!!

    Get well soon Luke.
I don't think we need to find a replacement/cover for Luke but that shouldn't stop us looking for better quality for the midfield. We have enough options to cope without him right now.

Get well soon Lukey. Never been a massive Hyam fan but he does have spells of being a very decent player for us so could do with him back.

Think we definitely will sign another CM before Jan 31 or loan an upgrade by the loan deadline.

Be it Hyam, or anyone else - all teams need a ball winning midfielder in the team, especially to protect the back four. I agree with others that he hasn't been on song lately, but, once fully fit and in-form, is a cracking little player. I don't think we have anyome to do hismjob atm, well, not for 6 weeks anyway.

I agree, I've never been his biggest fan but it's harsh to judge him on current form, he previously was doing well before xmas and has clearly struggled to find match/full fitness in recent weeks. I do think Mick does waste him trying to get him to be a more attacking midfielder though. I'd be happy for Hyam to sit and Mick try to get Skuse to be more attacking
