We have won the case about the Vorm transfer. No extra fee to pay. How on earth did we get away with that. Good news I suppose. Maybe we should try a 50% sell on clause next time and pay half price.
Wow ! .... Happy but surprised . Not sure how we got away with that one . Legally off the hook but not sure morally , but I'll take it
Glad you guys are proud , me ... Not so much ... But go ahead and enjoy who we became from that episode
I did say Roof, I will be surprised if we lose this, and we haven't, no way is Huw Jenkins going to break Premier league Transfer rules...........
Breaking rules and getting caught breaking rules are two different things Phil . The only 2 things this proved is they couldn't prove anything and we've become just another " Loophole " hunter . Not our finest hour frankly but happy we didn't get sanctioned .
Are we the only ones doing things like this I doubt it and if I think Utrecht could do it in the future they will if they haven't already. Saying that 2 wrongs don't make a right.
We made our reputation coming from nowhere to the Premier by not being like " Other Teams " , wish we could have stayed that way but what's done is done . Contrary to popular believe , laws are made to protect the guilty .
There is nothing obvious about this at all . One only has to look at the big picture to see that nothing could be proven . For those that are proud of this outcome , what we gained money wise pales to what we lost morally and in the eyes of others . Why would we give him away free given the situation ? ..... Stinks and if this happened to another team most would say so on here .
I will ask you then, have you seen all the evidence submitted to the court of Arbitration or to FIFA, until you have yet again roof, you are guessing
Again lefty , common sense . And it's common practice of late for us to not know anything .....secrecy prevails again .
Common sense and Roof in the same sentence The standard of proof isn't beyond a reasonable doubt it's on a balance of probabilities. It's not been proved, end of story. Whereas some so called 'fans' are happy to do our own club down every chance they get I'd say we've been thoroughly vindicated by a body that has heard all the evidence and these 'fans' should now acknowledge they were wrong before shutting the **** up. Whether we 'like' what we did or not it's clearly common practice and we didn't break the rules. If you don't like the result suck it up.
As Dai said, we didn't brake any rules. We exploited a contractual situation. Happens in business all the time. Whose eyes Roof? What have we lost? This, for me strengthens or transfer negotiation position as others will not treat us as little old Swansea. Look at it from a positive, Spurs paid us £3 million to take Gylfi off their hands
" exploited " being the telling truth on that statement valley . Answer me this , Why would we give away our 1st team keeper from the previous season for nothing when there is time left on his contract ? .There is no answer and before anyone says saving wages , why don't we give all our players away to save wages when they leave . To say this deal enhances or strengthens our position in future deals is nothing short of .... Well not to brilliant
Because we exploited a loophole. We also got rid of Vorm because we had a better keeper in Fab signed up.
