”Chris Coleman has joined the battle for Chelsea’s £4million defender Robert Huth. The Fulham boss is in the market for two centre-backs this summer after releasing Alain Goma and having doubts over Zat Knight.

Stamford Bridge chief Jose Mourinho is prepared to listen to offers for the German. Wigan have made a bid but the player does not favour a move to the JJB. Huth, 21, is in Germany’s World Cup squad but is keen to move as his first-team opportunities have been limited at Chelsea.

Coleman has a £10m budget but has spent £2.5m on Wigan midfielder Jimmy Bullard. He also hopes to persuade Mourinho to sell left-back Wayne Bridge, who spent four months on loan at Fulham.”
