Well, did anyone else watch it? I thought it was reasonably impressive ,talk of a team the fans can be proud of, playing games to win ( derrr, but given some of Mick's approaches it has not been a given over he last couple of Seasons) and the need for wingers who can carry the ball up the pitch and then deliver, all good.
Came across very well. Made some fairly open (and bold) statements about the side being unbalanced and in need of some wingers etc. Cracked a couple of jokes and seemed to handle himself very well. Looked comfortable and happy to be there. All in all a very positive interview that will have got plenty of fans a little bit more enthused for the season ahead
Overall not bad but a little bit of naivety. It's great talking about discipline and high standards but if the players that are here don't buy into it he's going to have an immediate problem with that approach. The Championship is the toughest place for that because there are a load of players who have some ability but not the best attitude and are difficult to replace on a shoestring.
That sounds like the early days of SBR's career at PR!If he turns out to be even half as good we'll be laughing.
