Hope this is true. But, would he have done a worse job than Dave yesterday?

Doesn't matter. By the end of the transfer and loan windows he would probably be 5th choice. He needs to go now. Take £1m for him and get him off the wage bill. (Every little helps). The new money being invested isn't there to pay for 10 or 15 players to see out their contracts or get paid off.

As for Dave. Well, he only started because it was an emergency and he did try his very best. His contract is up soonest and I don't suppose it will be renewed. There is no need to rush him out the door.

I do feel sorry for Hulse. Let's face it we all got a shock when he was the striker that we signed and seem to remember most people were pleasantly surprised. He was a legend at Derby, but I think the fact he had that injury that wouldn't go away when he started and then coming in to an already established team, playing in a formation that didn't suit him. It just didn't work out but I do think if he moved up there he could rekindle his old form.

So good luck to him. Now take the money and run.

Could've had him, but the last lot didn't like transfer fees.

He was a punt on the last day of the transfer window. Good player when fit, but never has recovered properly. When he did come back things never happened for him, so might also be psychological as well.

Take the £1m and bid him good luck and a fresh start.
