Did anybody watch tonight's Britain's Got Talent? Great advert for the area - the last three main acts were all from the area. A girl who's been singing in pubs and clubs went first. Despite trying two songs, they ultimately said no to her. Her brother, Calum Scott, auditioned next. He sang a slower version of Robyn's 'Dancing On My Own' and got a standing ovation from the audience and judges before Simon hit the golden buzzer and sent the Hull man straight through to the live shows. The final act of the show were a dance group - if you can call them that - from Withernsea (Hull got another name-drop when they were explaining where they were from). Ruby Red was their name and they stripped from their cleaning costumes to dance and were sent through too. I know of at least one other act from the area who gets through in later episodes. Other acts on the show were decent too including a dog that hated Ant, a chicken that tried to do an agility course, a free runner, a choir, a brother and sister roller skater act, a "singing" dog and a comb player.
No reply I can give you will be better than Hank's. (Although in truth I work with somebody in the group from Withernsea and was looking out for them).
You're mad.. Mad I tell you.. You're madder than Mad Jack McMad, the winner of last year's Mr Madman Competition.
