It would be a very tough match fella. They could well turn us over, it would be a proper occasion for them with Poyet's return. I think Hull would be the easier match, but a Brighton tie holds so much more spice so I'll be rooting for them tomorrow night.
If anyone knows their team better than Gus and his staff though can they advise who? They will be familiar with Poyets style and ethics but not our players. If Brighton do get through and like many on here I'd say they were favourites now, then it will be a very interesting tie indeed and guaranteed to be the choice of the TV stations. I agree it will be a tougher game imo than Hull but Gus will really know the mind set and character of their players and how they will handle the situation with probably none of them have ever been in a quarter final. Our battle hardened troops have a very tough cup quarter final and semi final behind us THIS season and it will count for something. We are also more likely to keep 11 men on the pitch against the Seagulls than we are the Tigers.
Christ, I really want Hull next round to finally ****ing beat them. They have had all the luck (handed to them on a plate by us) in the last two games. Just want to see 45 minutes at least against them with 11 men to see us pass them off the ****ing park.
You may have the long trip down South.Brucey knows his onions and may let you play Seagulls next on your way to 2 cup finals. If we do get through I am sure your support will be louder than it was at SoL.Surely Shirley?
