12th placed City travel to the MKM Stadium to take on Ruben Selles' Hull. In the reverse fixture back in October, we thrashed Hull 4-0 at Carrow Rd, and a result away from home will be a welcome tonic after defeat to PNE. We are 4 points off the play-offs now, and a win today will see us back in the chase for a spot in the top 6. The tigers have suffered back to back defeats and sit in 21st place and haven't won a home league game in 2025 (D1 L3). Hopefully not a case of us being the team to upset that trend. Can we get our first back to back away victories since January 2023? Will Sargent add to his double he scored Vs Hull in October? Come on City! OTBC
Great post China. Hopefully you can get us back on track after Hairy was let down against Preston. Upwards and onwards. OTBC!
Norwich City head coachJohannes Hoff Thorup confirmed that Marcelino Núñez will miss Saturday's trip to face Hull City inthe Sky Bet Championship. The head coach also confirmed that Kenny McLean is a doubt for the trip to the MKM Stadium, while Emiliano Marcondes will also be unavailable. "Emi is the same, so we have to give him rest. Kenny was added to the list. He's had pain breathing in the warm-up, but it's a doubt whether he can play or not. We'll do some different tests Big miss if The Mayor is not available
The latest update from todays press conference doesn't bring much good news, with JHT joking that our midfield is "cursed". As soon as we appear close to getting numbers back, they drop away again! Squad update *Updated after Press Conference* (RW) Hernandez - DOUBT - 1 week - Slight knee issue - Resumed light training Thursday (CM) Mclean - DOUBT - 1 week - Some trouble/pain breathing before last game and will likely miss this one (CM) Nunez - OUT - 1 week - Took a significant kick last game, badly swollen and bruised. Scanned but no break (CM) Marcondes - OUT - 1 week - has been playing with a hip injury - hopefully just rest needed possibly an injection (CM) Forsyth - OUT - 1-2 weeks - knee injury - 3rd injection this week (CM) Forson - OUT - 3-4 weeks - knee knock - still feeling pain, draining blood from knee and it keeps coming back (CM) Gibbs - OUT - 3-4 weeks - hamstring injury (RW) Springett - OUT - 12 weeks - back injury - re-occurrence (GK) Mair - OUT - Returned to the club after breaking his finger.
Presumably Sorensen and Jurasek the other way round? Looks a bit lightweight in midfield if you ask me.
