Are you sure we actually had programmes back then?

I've not seen any that were pre-WW2.

You could always try doing a search on EBay or Google. If there are any it will list them.

Is he on here? - From "A Century of City" by Mike Peterson
Also I'm told there were programmes dating back to the club's first season.

yep he is tom adey, i have bid on a city prog from the late 1920s got to about £550 before i gave up. i also saw a prog on ebay from i think 1926 when he was at northampton but it was a game he wasnt playing in. i have all the all the big auction booklets sent to me often ive been looking for a prog with him in since i was a lad. 1 prog i would kill for even though not hull was when he played for swindon in there fa cup team which still holds there record winning margin. and finally a durham city prog from the last year they were in the league as he played there too got more chance of winning lottery for the next 5 weeks. thank everyone for your interest, and sorry to witter on

Tom Adey is also pictured and named in the 1924 - 25 team. Good luck with your search.

You had better have a big wallet. Programmes of that vintage will be in the region of £100+ for each one. The oldest I have are from the 1929 + 1930 seasons and they are worth at least £75.00 each last time I valued them and that was sometime ago. I once bid for a pre-war City programme on ebay (Aston Villa away 1910-11 season, if I remember correctly). I gave up at £210.00. It went for £275.00. Needless to say I have never mentioned the bid to the wife.

probably wise keeping that to your self, i went up to about the £500 on a city prog think it was the year we won the league in the early 30s. you can get them cheap it all depends if you are the only person wanting it or not and there isnt a reservse. to be honest i have had some really good buys on ebay been fairly lucky. one i did wana get which was on not so long ago was the prog when we played at barcelona away would of loved to own that, didnt even dare see how much that went for. all the best dave

    Have got a Chelsea v City prog 25/26 seaon,we lost 4-0.
Adey did not feature in that season or the season before, but played sixteen games in 23/24.
Some 20s and 30s progs shown in the Breedons Hull City book 1904-1989.
