Hull City are proud to be supporting Pride in Hull 2018. Last year’s mammoth event saw Hull become the epicentre of the Pride 50th anniversary celebrations, seeing the country celebrate 50 years since the decriminalisation of homosexuality in the UK, And this year’s Pride celebrations – held today – will again see a number of events from the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans (LGBT) community for everybody to enjoy in the city centre. The forthcoming season will also see the Club continue to show its support for Stonewall’s Rainbow Laces Weekend. With the aim of encouraging the lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) community to get involved at all levels of sport, as well as equality in football, one of the Tigers’ Championship fixtures will see a host of rainbow-themed activations in addition to the now-familiar laces. Football is an inclusive sport and should be accessible to everyone. With the help of Stonewall, Hull City will support the message that the LGBT community are welcome at all levels of sport and that all forms of discrimination will not be accepted.

When City put up the rainbow version of the badge on Facebook yesterday, we lost thousands of our Egyptian followers.
