Hull plot £6million Steven Fletcher move after Black Cats hit man falls down Sunderland pecking order Hull City boss Steve Bruce is ready to make a record-breaking move for Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher. Scotland international hit man Fletcher has fallen out of favour under Gus Poyet in recent weeks and the Tigers are set to pounce. And Bruce will try to tempt the Black Cats into a sale - but it will cost a staggering £6 million even if the price comes down. Bruce has been looking for a striker who can play on his own and score goals to give his side more of a threat and Fletcher knows the role. Hull chief Bruce knows that there is still work to do to stay up and wants to bring in new goalscoring threats for the rest of the season - and beyond. Fletcher could be sold by Sunderland if Poyet finds new players. The South American boss prefers Jozy Altidore just now and leaves him on the bench. He's being rotated you thick knackers! Bet they think Bruce signed him as well? Watch them realise tomorrow and link him with MoN's Ireland
What a joke of an offer....they can keep Graham, but Fletcher must be worth more than the 12 million we paid Wolves!Tell the fat Geordie manager to go forth and multiply!!
I'd agree but ONLY if we have a replacement lined up of a similar quality. I still think he's a very good player. Capable of scoring goals (a lot more than Altidore)
Really? In what way? He only hit the target once. Something's not quite right with him mate, he's either still carrying an injury or he's on his way out, hope it's the injury cos the alternatives are shocking.
The thing is... If we don't sell him to Hull then it'll obviously be because Bruce is a Geordie won't it? That's probably what he'll say!!
No way do we sell a striker to a fellow struggling team 'cause come May Hull will be right in the relegation fight, we don't need to be helping them out, I also think Fletch will come good soon and start scoring goals, So a big NO from me.
To be fair to Hull they've done incredibly well with their squad but I doubt many believe it will last. Some of their regular players are very average, to be kind, and they'll always struggle to attract anyone decent. Whatever the case with Fletcher, injury or otherwise, there's absolutely no chance that he'd go to Hull and I doubt they can pay his wages. Fletcher is an experienced British player with a good record in the Premier League while with some dreadful teams. I'd not sell him until the end of the season, if at all, unless someone can produce a replacement for around £10 million.
They can have Danny Graham for £6 mill , but Fletch is worth more than that. Tell the Tigers to f*ck off.
some deluded bullshit on here! "Hull will be in a relegation battle"? is that the same Hull that are sitting just outside of the top 10?
It's about Steven Fletcher though not Hulls chances in the league, people are entitled to their own opinions whether you like it or not. You want 'Yes' men?, go back to your own board. Cheeky twat.
Well, it's often the way things go. Hull, Blackpool, Wigan, Newcastle and quite a few others have been doing fine up 'til Christmas then been relegated, it happens. It's not meant as an insult to Hull, just a matter of logic and experience. It's why it's best not to shoot your mouth off too early and end up looking really stupid.
yep, just two wins and a draw from catching you. Don't you have Liverpool and Chelsea to play next month? Could be playing 6 pointers by the time you face Norwich and Palace away back end of the month. Anyway, stop drawing me into you Hull propaganda tour of Not606, like I said this is a Fletcher topic.
Your manager led us into the top ten too. Then he led us into the ****ing ****. You need as much luck as we do. At least we know we're in the **** now, you've got it to look forward to.
