    Hi all,

    Been a while now.

I've got my tickets to the Brighton game (bringing along another Swede)
    The problem?

I am not sure how the hell we are supposed to get home without getting robbed by the UK Train/Bus lines?

I would therefore deeply appreciate if someone is heading home from the game to either Manchester (Way better communcations therefrom) or directly to Stoke/nearby surroundings for obvious reasons. We will of course pay our share for the ride if anyone offers a spot)

The last option is too stay over in Hull over the night, so cheap and central (but decent) sleeping options would be nice.

    Thanks in advance

If you want to stay in central Hull, then Holiday Inn Express is definitely your best bet, it's just outside the train station, a short walk from the ground and is right in the middle of the city centre. It's brand new, so the rooms are bang on and it's £79 for a twin room(they've got three left if you're quick). <ok>

There's the place down Midland Street,

It calls itself a guest house but I think it's more of a knocking shop.
On the plus side you'll be able rent your room by the hour.

Heres a tip for you search and book it online and pay by credit card, last year me and my son walked in there and asked for a price of a room and they said 79 quid. I was just about to pay when my lad said hang on dad.
We went and sat in paragon station for a few minures and he whipped out his laptop and booked it for 39 quid and paid by credit card.
We went back to the hotel and said we have a reservation all paid for and they just gave us the room keys, smart boy is my lad :)
Ended up staying there quite a few nights cos it was so reasonable, staff were great and laughed when I told them what my lad had done. Bar downstairs is a bit pricey but the breakfast is free in the morning and it's pretty good. I like the holiday Inn express at St Stephens a lot and will be staying there again this summer.
