Well, Cardiff did their bit today after our win vs PNE away to give us a squeek. Are we going to? Very doubtful - however all things considered with the atmosphere / injuries I think we're actually doing alright results wise. Clear as hell there's a bucket load of other factors that many will consider - which is fair enough! Next up, we entertain slightly improving Hull. On the basis they are improving, we've maybe opened the door at PNE a little bit - surely we'll go back a step here. 1-1 draw, a result that won't help either side any. COYB.
I'm going to this with a work mate as his other season ticket holder has dropped out. I'm not overly enthusiastic about this match, and if there wasn't a free ticket going I would've avoided it, but I don't think we'll lose. Mainly on account of our flat-track bullying record against the lower teams in this division. 1-0 to us, nothing pretty, but a win is a win I suppose.
I'm not confident with this one. Saw them against sheff utd, and they looked half decent. Their front two will cause us a lot of problems. 2 nil defeat in afraid
scrappy and undeserved 1-0 win which will lift the spirits only be be dashed again the following Tuesday.. When it is all doom and gloom once again.
To be honest I’m feeling slightly more optimistic recently with the (first) half decent displays. Carayol’s pace, Carter Vickers, Webster looking solid. 2-0 Town
But we've already had at least one of those.. Sunderland (5-2) and Forest (4-2) and possibly even Millwall (4-3) We've already been spoilt this season, to ask for anything else would just be greedy
If the weather warms up and allows pitch to be cleared & ready, I echo others more optimistic thoughts. A bright 3-1 home win, to send hardy Suffolk souls home happier than they have been for weeks. But the Q on all our minds, will an end of season run, mean Mick stays on. My view remains the same - fresh blood all round at ITFC, a younger manager allowed and encouraged to bring on and develop a relatively young & talented squad, once the clear out of McG etc. And new faces brought in to stengthen. Sadly, I cant see ME calling it a day any time soon. But I am very glad to know that Bart will be between the sticks next season. What a huge difference he has made. The jury is out on MM, and I don't think anyone will know for sure til end May,June or even July.
I'm with Stretchy here - think this will be a really hard game and if I had to back either side to win - it wouldn't be us. H games against sides lower down that perhaps we think ' could be alright here ' seem to be an issue. Burton H anyone? That said, I think we'll win at Sheff Weds Tuesday. They look an absolute calamity at the minute / loads out injured and Mick's never lost a league game there.
