Yet another bird wins a big trophy... Robin.... well done to all at the club, I hope that is the start of others this season... How are you managing Rover...?
I'm glad I didn't watch that live, i'd be in Castle Hill now. Unlucky Wires, what I read they was the better team on the day but Rovers play 80 minutes and you didn't. Well done Rovers, you've made me a very happy man. Well done to the fans too, you did the City proud.
I've been over the Moon about six times now mate. Just glad I didn't watch it live, reading it was bad enough. Thanks for asking TC.
Well done Rovers. It shouldn't have taken them 45 years to win the Challenge Cup again. However, pleased for a couple of life long City and Rovers fans I know who were there today and a sprinkling of life long Rovers fans in my family who were also at Wembley. Great team effort in the end and also particularly pleased for the local lads who bought the club and invested in them, and especially Neil Hudgnell who has given HKR a lifetime of financial support.
Well done KR, stuck at it to the bitter end, Lewis showed some bottle kicking the conversion. Best team lost though...
The refereeing in RL is outstanding especially the fella who refereed the Final today. he seems to referee every RL game I see on the telly, but he is top class. Football could learn a lot from RL on that score. Also like the captains enquiry, or whatever they call it. Football could do well to nick that idea too.
Was Gav K there today? He was there last time Rovers won the Cup whilst us two were at Boothferry Park. Pleased Rovers have shut FC fans up. After years of comments in HDM with FC fans putting 45 years and counting Rovers fans at end of this season will be able to put in their comments 10 years and counting”.
No not Gav, Alfie and Ed Falconer, who I saw on the telly, and a couple of others. I remember May 3rd 1980 as though it was yesterday. Do you remember the fans on the pitch at the end and the 'Loyal fans don't go to Wembley banner'? The local media never picked up on that one but the 'Last one out turn off the lights' cardboard sign on the A63 is written in local folklore. That was actually written by City fans, one of who might still post on here. I do like the Erasure song that Rovers fans have adopted. Just shows it can be done and the tunes are out there.
They've sang it a few years now, Andy Bell from Erasure heard about it and came to a game to sing it with 'em.
I enjoyed yesterday. Hull kr are a great club for the local community. I'm a football and hull city fan really, I just wish I enjoyed it as much as I do watching hull k.r
