The Tigers remain unbeaten through December, and taking into account the difficult fixtures that City went through, (Nottingham Forest, Watford, Derby County and Blackpool all away from home, Huddersfield, Leicester City and Leeds United at home) there's some solid proof of City's Promotion Credentials. Starman Sone Aluko was missing for the first few games of the month but City still maintained their form and blazed into 2nd just behind Cardiff City. Aluko's absence meant that Steve Bruce could impose a slight change to the Tigers set-up, with Simpson playing up front alone with Koren, Meyler, Brady, Elmohamady and Evans just behind him which allowed City to do some real damage to the opposition with quick passing and brilliant link-up play within midfield. Aluko's return meant that he replaced Jay Simpson in the line-up, and City have looked like top-two quality throughout December. A claim which is supported by Steve Bruce's nomination for Manager of the Month (Along with Malkay Mackay - Cardiff and Mick McCarthy - Ipswich). This Hull side has began to be recognized as one of the best footballing sides in the League with constant praise from opposition players and managers. On their day, Hull City can beat anyone in this League.

It hasn't been the easiest of Seasons for the Championship new boys, especially with only 3 wins, 1 draw and 8 losses in their last 12 games. They have struggled to find their feet in the Championship, and if not for their recent but slight improvement, Jones would have had the sack. In the last 6 games, they've won 3, drawn 1 and lost 2, which is a significant improvement after a run of 7 defeats in a row prior. Definitely a side that City can't, and it's becoming increasingly repetitive with Hull City, be complacent with as they do still posses some dangermen that could punish City. Michail Antonio has been the Owls starlet this Season, pulling the strings in midfield and Chris O'Grady and Gary Madine always have the ability to score when given the chance. Their most recent results, a 2-0 loss at Turf Moor, shows that they do tend to concede many and struggle to score.

    Amber's Magic Prediction
When looking at this one, there will be a few Tigers fans seeing this as a typical 'Banana Skin' game. The usual match where the City players don't turn up and up getting turned over by a side they should beat every time. However, given City's fine form recently, and the brilliant playing style Brucey has installed into the players, there really should only be one outcome. If City go in with integrity, desire and as though they were playing a side battling for Promotion, there could well be a goal fest on show. There is also Brady and Meyler to play knowing they're now permanent squad members, surely giving them, the fans, and the players a morale and effort boost. I'm going for Hull City 4-0 Sheffield Wednesday

Five clean-sheets in their last six matches, and the defeat to Burnley on NYD was at home. It's got 'draw' written all over it.

Last 13 matches includes a draw last Saturday in the FA Cup and as he is talking about Championship matches the 12 games is correct I believe.

City to take advantage of results elsewhere earlier on in the day and cement 2nd spot.

I can't see us losing, but I feel it'll be another one of those performances where we dominate, have loads of shots on goal, and end up only winning 1-0.

    Aluko for the goal.

I reckon that if we can get our noses in front in the first half it will be an easy win.

One goal for each week until our next scheduled home league game.

    An easy 5-0.
