Competition - Sky Bet Championship Venue - MKM Stadium Date - 10 February 2024 Kick off - 3:00pm Following their disappointing 0-1 home defeat to Plymouth, next up for Luke Williams’ stuttering Swansea squad is a difficult looking trip to Play-Off hopefuls Hull City. Last Saturday, Plymouth claimed a long-awaited first away victory of the season as ex-Swan Morgan Whittaker struck the only goal against former club. Whittaker scored his 17th goal of the season with a precise first-half finish and Plymouth held on to ensure Luke Williams' wait for a first Swansea league win continues. Williams will no doubt have felt frustrated that the Swans did not get at least a point from the game after Jamie Paterson, Jerry Yates and Charlie Patino all missed golden opportunities to level whilst Liam Cullen struck the bar with a spectacular late drive. Plymouth's maiden Championship away win of the campaign came at the 15th attempt, and was their first in the second tier since 2010, when they last played at this level. The landmark triumph continues Ian Foster's impressive start to life as Plymouth boss, with the club unbeaten in five games in all competitions since he took charge on 5 January. But for Williams, who was appointed by the Swans on the same day, it has been a more challenging opening spell. This was a fourth successive defeat in all competitions, with the Swans taking only one point from four league games since Williams arrived from Notts County. His side remain 17th in the table - and just five points clear of the drop zone - with Plymouth now three points better off in 15th. Whilst the Swans were losing to Plymouth, Jaden Philogene made an empathic return from injury as his early goal gave Hull City victory over Millwall and lifted them into the Championship play-off places. Philogene, out for almost two months with a knee injury, followed up to score after Anass Zaroury's strike came back off the bar. With Coventry losing at Norwich, Hull leapfrogged the Sky Blues into sixth place. Millwall, meanwhile, have taken one point from their past four matches, scoring just twice in the process, and - the same as the Swans - are five points above the relegation zone. The Swans have played the Tigers on 83 previous occasions, winning 32, losing 40 and drawing 20. In the corresponding fixture last season the teams played out a 1-1 draw: Geoff Eltringham will be the man in the middle on Saturday. It will mark the first time the Durham-based official has taken charge of a Swansea game this season, having last had the whistle for a Swans game in this exact same fixture last season. In that game Eltringham handed out bookings to Ryan Manning and Jamie Paterson. Eltringham has been part of Select Group 2 since its inception in 2016. He has no shortage of experience, blowing the whistle on more than 400 EFL matches. This season, he’s taken charge of 19 matches, mainly in the Championship, and has given out 80 yellow cards and one red so far this term. On Saturday, Eltringham will be assisted by Mark Dwyer and Greg Read. Robert Madley will be the fourth official. Although my head says that Hull will win by at least 2 goals, my heart says that the Swans will return to South Wales with a point. 1-1
No idea on the scoreline. Hopefully things have been progressing behind the scenes in training and we'll see some progress from that.

My god, so we can defend!..... That's a good 3 points, could have been 2-0 if Patino had put his glasses on with the empty goal mouth......
