Hull team news: Sone Aluko and Yannick Sagbo are in line to lead the Hull attack for their FA Cup quarter-final against Sunderland. January signings Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic are both cup-tied, forcing manager Steve Bruce into changes up front. Maynor Figueroa is a doubt having had a gruelling friendly trip to Honduras in midweek, but otherwise there are no new injury concerns for the Tigers. Provisional squad: McGregor, Harper, Davies, Faye, Bruce, Figueroa, Rosenior, Chester, Huddlestone, Elmohamady, Meyler, Quinn, Livermore, Boyd, Fryatt, Koren, Sagbo, Aluko, Sunderland team news: Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt returns to the squad for Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final trip to Hull. The 24-year-old Scotland international was ineligible for the Capital One Cup final having played in the competition for former club Brighton earlier in the competition, but is available this weekend. Goalkeeper Keiren Westwood (shoulder) remains the only man on the long-term casualty list after undergoing shoulder surgery which is likely to rule him out for much of the remainder of the season. Provisional squad: Mannone, Ustari, Celustka, Alonso, Bardsley, O'Shea, Vergini, Cuellar, Roberge, Bridcutt, Cattermole, Gardner, Ki, Giaccherini, Johnson, Colback, Larsson, Ba, Mavrias, Altidore, Borini, Scocco, Fletcher. I'm not sure what line up Brucey has in mind for defence and midfield. Macc Elmo Davies Chezz Rosy Meyler Hudd Jake Quinn Fryatt Aluko for me.
STATS: There have been three FA Cup meetings between Hull and Sunderland, the last of which came in 1976 when the Wearsiders won 1-0 at Roker Park. Sunderland also beat Hull in their first ever two meetings in any competition in FA Cup matches in 1920 (6-2 home win) and 1933 (2-0 away win). Sunderland striker Jozy Altidore played 30 times for Hull City in 2009/10 scoring just two goals. He made one FA Cup appearance as a substitute in a 1-4 defeat by Wigan. Altidore has played 32 times for Sunderland and also scored just two goals in that time. The boys consistent!! Sunderland have not won four FA Cup matches in a row since they won the final in 1973. The Black Cats have won just two of their last 31 away FA Cup games against a team from the top division (W2-D11-L18). One month ago, Hull completed the league double over Sunderland with a 2-0 win at the Stadium of Light after winning 1-0 at the KC Stadium earlier in the season. Nikica Jelavic is cup tied after already scoring two goals in one game against QPR in this season’s 3rd Round for Everton. Shane Long is cup tied, having already played for West Brom in the competition this season, which is a shame has he has scored five goals in his last six FA Cup starts. Hull City have kept just two clean sheets in their last 14 FA Cup matches. ODDS: Hull to win: 2.24 Sunderland to win: 3.75 Draw: 3.4

Due to popular demand, Subway return to the KC Stadium this weekend with a free sandwich for our supporters in both the Dugout and The Family Lounge - and The Family Lounge will also host GAME, Xing Smoothie’s and a range of other activities. Normally exclusive to Season Card holders both the Dugout and Family Lounge are open to all supporters this weekend. Chazz, you are doing such a good job promoting this game you should apply for the PR job at City. Christ knows they need a good PR bloke.
I hope the stewards do what they are supposed to do and eject any away fans who have purchased tickets in the home seats.
Wonder if Brucey will mention to Curtis that Caulker scored two goals today in his team talk. I would just give him that bit more motivation.
What will happen is that any home fans objecting and telling the stewards to do their job will be the ones likely to be the ones ejected going by past experience.
Why? How vile are you, I'd never encourage stewards to eject any football fan from a ground if they're behaving themselves. If our fans had your mentality than not a single away fan would be welcome in the pubs around our ground, as it is any away fan can drink in any pub they see in safety with friendly faces. Away fans who sit in the home end and behave are left alone at the SoL, and our stewards are the mother of all Hitlers.
I can't understand this mentality either. I've been to many grounds over the years & sat in the " wrong" end. If you aren't causing trouble whats the problem?
Two games this season I have been stuck with away fans sat in the seats behind me. At the Chelsea game there was a woman that squealed every time a city player went into a tackle and completely ruined my experience of the game. Last week I had some Geordie bellends that didn't even try to restrain themselves when they scored. Allowing away fans in at all makes it much more acceptable for stewards to leave these people alone, ruining people's experience and giving the possibility of violence.
