    Hull City v Leeds United
    Saturday 4th January@15:00 | MKM Stadium

Leeds United travel to the MKM Stadium this Saturday to face Hull City, seeking to extend their current unbeaten streak to eight matches.

Despite a significant 30-point gap, the bitter rivalry that exists between the two clubs will ensure a tense and partisan atmosphere. Under the new management of Ruben Selles, the Tigers demonstrated a brief resurgence with victories against Swansea City and Blackburn Rovers during the festive period.

However, this momentum was abruptly halted by a 1-0 defeat at Deepdale on New Year's Day, which pushed them back into the relegation zone, sitting one point behind Portsmouth with two games in hand.

Historically, Leeds have a strong defensive record in their away encounters with Hull City, having kept a clean sheet in each of their last four league visits (W2 D2). They have never previously achieved five consecutive clean sheets against the same opponent on the road. Hull City have only beaten Leeds once in their last 11 league meetings – a 2-0 win at Elland Road in December 2018.

With Junior Firpo still side-lined with a hamstring injury and similarly Sam Byram nursing a knock, fit again Max Wober looks set to deputise at right-back, whilst on the right flank Jayden Bogle is expected to be passed fit after hobbling off half way through the 1-1 draw with Blackburn Rovers on New Years Day.

Tests showed the 24yo suffered nothing more than a dead leg, which although painful, should not keep him out in the starting line-up on Saturday. Leeds only other long term casualty Ilea Gruev is approximately four weeks short of returning to light duties. Daniel Farke has the option of utilising the likes of Ampadu, Ramazani, Joseph and Gnonto, all of which started on the bench against Blackburn.

Hull meanwhile, are grappling with a lengthy injury list. Oscar Zambrano continues to serve his suspension, and Carl Rushworth, Charlie Hughes, Mohamed Belloumi, Liam Millar, Kasey Palmer, and Ryan Longman are all ruled out through various injuries. This leaves Selles with a challenging team selection for the match against the mighty Whites.

Burnley away at Blackburn and Sheff Utd away at Watford.

I imagine someone will slip up. Just hope it's not us.

While Selles has given us some fight and grit back we’re desperately short on quality. Expecting a relatively comfortable Leeds win.

What Walter says - You come into the game as massive favorites and we are missing a host of our better players as per article at the top of the page. Selles has improved us slightly but the quality just isn't there atm and we need a good transfer window to steer us out of relegation trouble. If you turn up, you win comfortably 2-0, whereas we need you to have a collective off day and for one to go in via a deflection or off someone's @rse end.
Head says 2-0 to you, but I'll go with heart and say we will sneak a 1-1 draw.

Won't be a dirty game from out side, we're soft as **** and don't have anyone who's willing to put a tackle in let alone one that would be considered dirty, even by today's standards haha

'Bitter rivalry'? Really? any evidence of this ?
As a City fan its a tasty fixture at home but no more than either of the Sheffield clubs or Boro. Personally I couldn't give two ****s about Leeds U, never have had because we have hardly any history at all, besides your greatest ever manager Don Revie playing for us before he knew where Leeds was and Billy Bremner signing in 1975 when he thought he was in line for the managers job. That useless **** Bobby Collins got it instead and was sacked before the local media had had a chance to ask if he was a 'black and white or a red and white'.
Not to mention Eddie Gray another managerial failure from Leeds.
On the pitch we've hardly met and when we have none of the games were of particular importance, just another league game.
There will be the usual sprinkling of 'hull whites' in the home stands, no doubt, the lowest of the low in my eyes because you follow your home town team where I come from, not tag onto the coat tails of someone else's. Like I've never met a member of the 'Hull Imps' for example, odd that.
So tomorrow? Wrap up well for starters. Form says a regulation away win, and it's not an excuse when I say we are struggling for a team because of injuries and a shocking inactive first transfer window for reasons none of you are interested to hear about.
My heart says a draw, head? away win.

Jeez these Hull fans are as pessimistic as Leeds fans (if such a thing were possible) I’m expecting a tough game here. Based on:
    - I don’t think we’ve had an away game this season that wasn’t tough,

    - Hull lost in injury time to Boro and won at Blackburn in their last two games, not indicative of a team about to gift wrap us 3 points
