Saturday 7th December 3pm kick off

New manager in would be nice wouldn’t it?
He needs all the time he can get to change the mess we’re in. because this isn’t easy to turn around
I couldn’t name what I think is our best team
Not sure about puerta what or where he plays or his strengths
Do we just carry on with slater?
Hughes will be back in definitely.
    Drameh can’t start at Lb
But Giles? His body language and demeanour is shocking like he thinks he’s doing us a favour. I wonder if lewie has made it clear he’s not going to left back?
    Can Hughes play there?
Time to give bedia a start or Burstow? Two up top? No one seems to do that anymore
Pick your team boys n girls

I'm sure Coyle of all people would play wherever he's asked. Most obvious reason for him not playing at left back is that he's the best right back. The annoying thing is we do have two decent left backs. Jacob was absolutely fine last season, so I don't know why he's out in the cold. But then I also think we should be getting more out of Giles rather than giving him a game once a month and then complaining that he's not in red hot form.

You’re getting as bad as mckechnie for making things up
We quite clearly with evidence to back it up do not have two decent left backs.

drameh has gotten steadily worse at left back which often happens when you switch a right back
Lewie has done the same there
Why wouldn’t you switch lewie over to help the team has Drameh had completely gone
Even during the game we could have tried that but didn’t.

Simple for me really, 3 cbs in Hughes, Mclaughlin and Jones, Giles at lwb, Coyle or Drameh at rwb, 4 in midfield, 3 grafters and Palmer, and Bedia or even Longman up front who can hold the ball. We've got to be more difficult to beat, graft out results and see where we are come January.

Is Coyle the best right back? We'd need to see Drameh at rb before we can say that. Also Coyle's not been at his best for a few games now, needs a rest. Jacob's looked poor when he's played this season, maybe he needs more game time but he's no shoo-in. Agree about Giles though.

There's more holes in our defence than in Blackburn,Lancashire. :emoticon-0138-think

Surprised to see that about Giles, thought he did pretty well yesterday in a game that would have been potentially tricky for him. Played his part in our goal.

Jacob’s not great. He wasn’t that good when Rosenior gave him a spell last season. Like Jones, he was made to look better by having the best left-sided centre-back in the league covering him.

That being said, Drameh was awful against Boro and Giles is a waste of space. Maybe sticking Jacob at left-back and having him tucking in as an extra centre-back in possession to let the right-back get forward is a short-term solution.

Let's be realistic, a draw is nice here.

Another tough game but I suppose they all are to us, I watched them against Boro and they played very well. We have to change something because it certainly isn’t working as it is. We definitely lack pace up front down the middle to cause team’s problems. Don’t know what AD will be thinking or if we will have a new manager in charge, three cbs, 2 up top who knows?

I would give Giles a go and a run of games, just coming in for the odd game or sub, he can't build any form or confidence, and the balance would look better.

I am keen to see Alzate, he was a first teamer at Brighton in the EPL, and was good in the game in Turkey, we need some better quality along with Palmer.

Up front, Bedia or Burstow should be ahead of Pedro.

I also would like to see us try 352, Coyle/Jones/Hughes at the back, with Bedia and Burstow up top.

A draw would be a step forward.

LB is a huge issue for us, at best we'll just limp through till Jan and then it's got to be delt with, nobody we have at the club is the answer

Its Monday, but early impressions on this encounter is that the label... 'Must not lose....' will be attached.
Blackburn surprisingly somewhat doing okay, three wins on the spin, therefore they're going to get stunned shortly. Probably at FC Massive on Tuesday 10th!

How about stopping the wayward cross field passes and cutting out the naivety in defence. That way we might have a chance of getting something out of games..
On point one, that will be tricky. On point two, perhaps if we could go forward a lot more it might have a positive effect at the back. I know it sounds easy! Seems as if we literally let in three goals on Saturday from our own errors and failure to read the game, rather than anything great the opposition did.
