Tony Pennock’s Development Squad travel to the Boleyn Ground to face the Hammers in the first leg on Monday 25th April (KO 7pm), before hosting the East London side in the return leg nine days later. Supporters who are planning to attend the second leg tie at the KC will be able to enter the Cranswick PLC West Stand via turnstiles 23-26 & 36-39. Fans do not need to collect tickets in advance in order to attend the game and turnstiles will open at 6pm for all supporters. Academy Manager Tony Pennock is delighted the tie at the KC has been made free of charge for all supporters to attend and is urging Tigers fans to get behind his young side as they bid to end their season in style. “The fans have been fantastic in supporting the Under-21s at the KC in our five games at the stadium throughout the current campaign and their support in the second leg of the final would once again be very much appreciated,” he said. “We’re expecting West Ham to have a large home support for the first leg at the Boleyn Ground and it would be fantastic for our boys if they had a decent-sized crowd behind them at the KC when representing the Club in the final of a national cup competition. “We want the lads to enjoy the whole experience, so having supporters in the stands cheering them on would be fantastic. It’s the very least they deserve after such an impressive season and hopefully the fans will turn out in their numbers to support the team.” The Tigers reached the final courtesy of victories over Sheffield Wednesday (3-2), Crewe Alexandra (2-1), West Bromwich Albion (2-1), Millwall (3-1) before a penalty shoot-out victory over Huddersfield Town in the semi-final. The Hammers, meanwhile, have seen off Exeter City (4-0), Fulham (3-2), Blackburn Rovers (2-1) and Liverpool (3-2) en route to the final.
For the avoidance of any doubt, I've posted these details despite not being a member of the Hull City U21 management team and anything I post on this thread should not be considered an official response from Hull City AFC. I thank you.
It was a joke ffs. Just getting in early, this could be needed later. I'm just pleased the message is starting to get home, even if it's a tad misdirected yet..
i believe i speak for everyone when i say that i'm wondering if you could get the game rescheduled for the following evening because it clashes with something i'm doing that evening and thursday evening would be much easier for me. my video box is set to record all the thursday televisual feasts i enjoy, so no problem there, in case you were wondering, and i can say with total authority that everyone, even dutch mountain dog and his feline friend much mountain mog, are in complete agreement with me.
