Hull City AFC to change their name to Hull Tigers. The new owner finds the word "City" in their name to be "Common". Why don't new owners of clubs respect tradition and leave things alone. Thoughts from Hull fans appreciated.
The sundercats - even better - sender......sunder.....sunder......sundercats. hooooooooooooo! Then the team comes out to the Thudercats theme
Brilliant Bri!!! I really think we should petition the club in time for Fulham next Saturday. Imagine the new strip!
What the **** is that all about. The FA should be stopping in and threatening to remove their share, 109 years of (admittedly uninspiring..) history, and some mug just bins it 'cos City is common'. What a ****er. I know he's done wonders for the club, but does that give him the right to **** about with the heritage of a bunch of very passionate fans they have down there, tarnishing a summer they should all be enjoying after gaining promotion? If Ellis wanted to call us 'Sunderland Cats', I ****ing swear, I'd turn in an instant, and I, like us all, adore Ellis for what he's done for the club, and will continue to do. What a horrendous crock of Americanised, commercially motivated ****.
All the fans have to do is boycott all merchandise with it on. Commercially it'll all be changed back again sharpish.
If Short decided to change the name, colour of the shirts, name of the stadium etc.. in order to raise funds for players/team improvement would you be against it? How much would history and tradition mean v success?
I would, for one. I've got by a lifetime without much in the way of success, so the traditions are important.
