yeah i'd go with that other than Dudgeon for Dawson, i think its really the only way to play and get the best from Koren

Why Dawson? Dudgeon is far better

Yeah with the injuries we have atm that is arguably our best starting 11 if Dudge was playing ahead of Daws. Also I'm not 100% sure who Bruce see's as his number one yet, Amos played on Sat because Jackupovic couldn't.

I've preferred Daws up until Saturday, thought Dudge looked very capable. So another vote for that but with Dudge for Daws.

Koren will be out on the wing and Cairney in the middle, dudgeon at left back. That's what I'd expect to see.

The way things are looking jack the goalie and Aluko are unlikely to have international clearance by Saturday.

    ---Rosenior-----Chester----Faye----Dudgeon---
    ----------------McKenna--Cairney--------------
    ---Stewart-----------------------------Koren---
    ---------------Fryatt-----Proschwitz---------

    But I'd prefer to see:

    -----------------------Amos------------------
    ---Rosenior-----Chester----Faye----Dudgeon---
    ---------------------McKenna------------------
    ---Aluko---------------Koren----------Stewart--
    ----------------Simpson-----Proschwitz---------

Unfortunately it seems rather unlikely that Aluko will be cleared in time, and that yet again Simmo is fourth choice striker.

I'd have the same as J-D's second line-up, but if Aluko isn't available, I'd stick McLean in his spot and leave Koren in the middle.

EDIT: except I'd have Fryatt over Simpson.

I agree, I would like to see Dugeon get a run in the team.

    If Aluko can play:

    Amos
    Rosenior
    Chester
    Faye
    Dudgeon
    Stewart
    Cairney
    Koren
    Aluko
    Fryatt
    Proscwitz

If not then mckenna for Aluko and koren to the left.

Not a bad shout actually. He's not the ideal right winger but if it means we can have Koren in his best possible place then so be it.

no, rosenoir and dudgeon could push well forward which makes it a 3.5.2 when we are attacking.

I think it's the only way of having Koren in the middle and having two up front.

I was counting on Bruce being far less stubborn than Barmby.

I like Cairney but he was extremely poor vs Rotherham. Add to that the fact that this switch could get Koren in his ideal position and it's (or should be) a no-brainer.

    Amos

    Rosenior
    Chester
    Faye
    Dawson

    Stewart
    Koren
    McKenna
    Aluko

    Proschwitz
    Fryatt

Honestly can't understand why people want Dudgeon a head of Dawson. I think Dudgeon looks quite suspect defensively.

Yeah, I talked about the 4-1-2-1-2 after the Norwich game.

I'd have the OP's line-up apart from Dudgeon over Dawson, and i'd perhaps be tempted to try Mclean over Fryatt (though not too sure).

If Aluko can't play, then we are in a bit of a pickle. Maybe Mclean/Simpson could play on the right?

It will be interesting to see who Brighton line up with @ Swindon Town tomorrow night in the cup with saturday in mind and a shorter turn-a-round for them. Good game for sky tuesday imo.

In saying that its upto City as the home team and i think we have seen what Bruce sees as his No.1 team more or less. So injuries and international clearance allowing and form so far my team is thus : -

    Amos

    Rosenoir Chester Faye Dudgeon

    McKenna

    Aluko** Koren(c) Stewart

    Fryatt Proschwitz

    **Cairney if Aluko cannot play.

At least now Bruce snr has options on the bench for game changing.
