would really like a full size one for my summerhouse, anyone have any ideas? Only seen a 13" one for £30 http://www.nymr.co.uk/shedshop/Nameplates.html It was Duffen that got the sign back for us wasn't it? If it was it was the best thing he ever did at HCAFC
Allam has probably contacted North York Moors Railway so they'll only make you a Hull Tigers nameplate.
The plaque never had black and amber stripes on it despite it being painted that way for a while when it was at BP. It was originally blue.
wouldn't be the worst idea for the club shop to reproduce slightly smaller resin ones of the original, wonder how many would buy them if at a fair price?
There is a place in Beverley down an arcade near the bar. It sells street signs of Boothferry Park. Much bigger that 13". Thing is when I spoke to the owner we did think they looked more like train nameplates. Cant remember the name of the shop
The original one was just sky blue. They did do one which was plain black like the one in the museum in Hull, don't know if that is the one they still use.To make it more complicated the engine did have a plain amber one for a time.
We went pun-crazy the last time this topic was raised... http://www.not606.com/threads/hull-city-railway-engine-nameplate-up-for-sale.263332/
It was quite a few years ago that I saw the plaque. A friend was looking after it for the owner in a pub in Essex. The owner owned/ran a pub near Euston station and he was taking it to another pub he had in Newcastle or the north-east at least.
Not sure which of the many snides this one is. I know there is one in Melton, one in the KCOM, one at Martin Fish's house and I saw one at Walton st a few Sundays back.
I have one that I got the welder/fabricator on my shift to fab-up .... stainless steel and enamel paint job, last forever!
I could CNC machine it out of brass, steel, titanium or a lump of lard if you wanted! And it would be pretty and shiny and pristine. Get your orders in here!
