HULL CITY: Bullard set to cut ties â and move to QPR Wednesday, August 17, 2011Hull Daily MailFollow JIMMY Bullard looks set to finally cut ties with Hull City this week following a month-long disciplinary. And he is expected to immediately resurrect his playing career by agreeing a move to Premier League new boys QPR. Jimmy Bullard is expected to resurrect his Premier League career with a move to QPR The club-record £5m signing has been suspended for the past four weeks following an incident on a pre-season trip to Slovenia, which saw him immediately ordered to stay away from the club. Bullard was finally summoned to a lengthy disciplinary hearing at the KC last week, in which he was represented by the PFA. City are believed to have taken legal advice and considered all available options, including dismissing the ex-Fulham and Wigan man. But with QPR renewing their interest this week, and the threat of a long drawn-out legal battle ahead, it now appears a severance agreement is more likely to be reached. Bullard, who has made just 19 league starts for City since signing in January 2009, is contracted until the end of the 2012-13 season. That contract still has a value of more than £4m in wages going forward. But City will now look to make a significantly lower payment of less than £1m given his present situation. http://www.thisishullandeastriding....ies-8211-QPR/story-13147222-detail/story.html
We could certainly do with his experience and quality, he's the type of player who could run a game for us, badly needed, just his injury record worries me...
What has he done at hull to piss them off so much? What did he do in Slovenia? I have seen him play brilliantly on occasion, but am also worried about his injury record and the possibility that he is a bt of a nob end...
I'd imagine he farted or something equally silly. Hull are desperate to off load him as his wages are killing them, so incident involving him and they'll try to sack him. I know he is another sick not player, but he showed against us last season what he can still do when fit. And while we know what Faurlin is capable of, it seemed on saturday like he was terrified and scared to play. Hopefully someone like Bullard can teach him how to step up to the PL.
It was a big no-no from us on here (for all the obvious reasons) when we first started speculating... How times change, both us and Bullard way out of sorts... a successful union then? Let's hope so!
Bullard would be the kind of experienced head around which you would build the rest of your intake for a PL campaign. As discussed however that squad is already in place and its not clear how he would fit in. I'm assuming this would be a replacement for the Derry role.
Good move, let's replace our best player from last Saturday! Personally I like Bullard, but I don't see him as what we need now.
I wasn't having a go at QPAAAAGH, it is the commonly held belief that he would play there. I'd play him further up field. It is just typical that we would replace our best performer though.
There is no way Bullard could do the destroyer role, Ipswich were using him like a quarterback, he can't run!
If we got him on a similar deal as Dyer it would be low risk. We are in a short term fire fighting situation where we just need to survive this season. Experience at this level plus i think we could do with a comedian to lighten things up. The mood seems a bit grim at the moment and we are gonna get more beatings so morale is going to be vital. Having had a varder at the Hull forum makes amusing reading. What a rascal! lots of disgusted fishmongers in Hull.. Great gossip though. Hope he does sign if only to give me comedy material for my talking bollocks stories.
